So now, even though I saw a reliable ship list, the shop I go to has Joker for next week and Firestorm for Sept 28!?!?!

One problem there though. You've got Rouge in the picture and Marvel is doing everything they can to bury the X-Men so they can cram the Inhumans in their spot as hard as possible.

I don't believe that. Marvel trying to get rid of the X-Men is nothing more than propaganda. It's all a marketing gimmick so that next year they can bring the X-Men back in full swing through a huge major crisis-esque event. If they were really trying to get rid of X-Men they wouldn't have allowed Hasbro to release these X waves, Fox to have a TV series on Legion, and they wouldn't be reissuing the Omnibuses.

So picked up the Joker today. Great rendition and very happy just to have one of this wave in hand so I know Firestorm is on the way!

I've got Joker in my BBTS POL. I'm just going to cancel my preorder for Stewart and will just pick him up at a later date if I even care to by the then.

None, really. They are a smaller scale.

I think the Icons Harley Quinn looks pretty good along side my DCUC Rogues Gallery, but she's the only one I have that even comes close to working with them. Superman, Batman, Flash and Green Arrow are all way too small to fit in with DCUC figures.

From DCC: other Icons

Sorry it's not a real answer but I don't think any other line really goes with the Icons for size. Mattel's figures tend to be actually bigger than 6" and most other DCC lines lean towards 7" scale.

Not completely true. Mongul, Atrocitus, the Manhunters, and a few others that were too small in Mattel's line fit fine with the Icons.

I picked up Icons Joker today. In the long run, he is one of the best Joker figures ever released, if not the best. Unfortunately, as expected, he isn't perfect.

First the positives. The sculpt is incredible. The fact that the lines have been sculpted into his pants is down right spectacular. They could have easily just painted stripes and it would have been cool, but this is going above and beyond expectations, so I applaud them for that. They used a waist joint similar to what Figuarts used, so you can pull his legs down just slightly, which allows him to stretch his legs out more and get a better kick pose. It also allows articulation without leaving a gap. A shame Superman didn't have this. The head is simply amazing.

So what's disappointing? Well the lack of a torso swivel for start. It doesn't break the sculpt, but it would have been more useful than the ab crunch. It also would have been nice if he came with a head without the hat or that the hat was removable. However, my biggest issue comes with the lack of an alternate left hand. He was advertised in all solicitations to include an open left hand that could hold the front end of the tommy gun, but all we get is a fist, making it pointless for his fist to even be removable. I hope they fix this with the upcoming accessories pack otherwise it would be pointless to have the pack come with two laughing fish when we can only have him hold one at a time. This irks me to no end and I could have done without the wide right hand (that seems like it is made to hold the long barrel gun he was originally shown off with).

Nevertheless, I am in love with this figure and it already puts Mattel's offerings to shame. I can finally have a Joker that isn't stuck looking down at all times. Not only that, but this was actualy how I have always wanted a Joker figure to look since Mask of the Phantasm. I just think he looks far more gangster with the coat and hat. It is also nice that a feel of the Mattel accessories work well with him. I really wanted to have him hold a deck of cards in each hand at the same time, but oh well.

Yeah, I saw, but I'm not in the mood to listen to some guy that doesn't even sound like he enjoys what he does tear apart the figures for something minor like a paint splotch or something.

That dude's reviews put me to sleep. Hey Dr. Kain, does the head pop off on the Joker? Just curious if we might get another head in a future accessory pack or if we get a Joker without a long coat sculpts.

It pops off like all of the other heads, taking the neck joint with it.

DCC has some god damn explaining to do. Why the hell are they going to make me get all exicted for Deathstroke and Swamp Thing in Feb and tell me they are going to be out in Sept, and then in Sept they are going to tell me the figures won't be out for another 7 months. WHAT THE FUCK IS THE DEAL DC?!! Are you going to at least improve the god damn figures this time around? Because you sure as hell didn't bother improving anything on Joker or Superman.

Agree! Schedule on these is just dumb.

They updated their release schedule on their FB page. Hopefully they can stick to it. Still haven't posted enough here to post a link. Just search DC Collectibles in FB if you haven't liked their page yet.

The only thing I have been able to find is a fanpage and they don't even let you make comments on it, which makes it utterly pointless to even have a facebook page.
