Headache inducing garbage.
It's a good thing I've never been a big SW toy collector. My whole SW toy collection fits in one hand.

Well, this is all sorts of disappointing. I'm not even sure they're worth the price...

Does Disney own Hasbro? Does Hasbro have at the very least half a say in what they produce?
Hasbro has half the blame, at the very least. Chances are, they have 70% of the blame or more.

Not for me. I'd rather pay for articulation, and I really don't need the SAME characters they have made 50 times each

Hasbro did this to Iron Man 3. It's their attempt to make parents happy because kids don't want articulation, and they don't break as easily.

It's probably just nostalgia talking, but... these seem inferior to the Kenner figures.

That's because they ARE inferior to Kenner figures. I'll take my Vintage Darth Vader carry case full of them over this crap any day...That being said, I do believe these are for kids so I don't really care LOL.

This must be a Hasbro thing, even GI Joe has these type of crappy figs with no articulation with their vehicles nowadays...

that articulation is scary bad. But at least not all of these 3.75's are bad. the biker scout wave looks really good.

Since Disney bought Marvel back in 2009 (if I remember) we've gotten tons of great figures and a stuff we never had before. Disney even let Marvel continue their plans to do things like the Avengers, which was not a lock to break the bank when it was planned, and their influenced seemed mostly positive. With Star Wars it seems they've canceled or closed down 80% of the Star Wars stuff I actually was interested in. We'll see how it works out long term.

garbage. I only bought the clone wars line because I liked the show and the only ones I want are the classic line: old republic figs that I could never find...

Atrocious. I hate to pile on, but yeah, those are disappointing.

I don't speak for all, but when I was a kid, articulation was actually something that was important to me.

Make parents happy because kids don't want articulation? Articulation has been the norm for decades now. This crap started in just the last two years. I'm sure there aren't parent groups campaigning toy companies complaining they're getting TOO much value for their dollar.

I'm sure this is all about costs. They're testing the waters to see how well lower articulated figures sell at a lower cost. The Batman figures were around $5 and appear to sell pretty well.

We're older collectors and value articulation because we like to pose them. Most young kids simply don't care about that. They just want the toy to do battle with other toys. They aren't trying to replicate action poses.

Like many of us, I wasn't the normal child in that respect. The Joe figures were so impressive to me *because* they had articulation. For us, anything less is a major step back.

Hasbro is showing that they aren't relying on collectors to keep lines afloat. They're changing they're business model. Our numbers are too small to be their target audience. I think Marvel Universe is still geared toward collectors.

Now if they decide to do this with the Marvel Universe line, they might have a war on their hands.

Right now, with the Black Series, they're at least offering collector level figures in contrast to these lower cost figures.

I'm interested in the Black series, just not any of the characters/versions of characters they have, except for maybe Biggs.

Give me a Bespin Luke and I'll be happy, though.

Yeah, I'd rather save my $12 for something from the Black Series.

First and foremost I'd want a Jedi Master Luke, as he's always been my favorite figure and I've owned several versions of him over the years. Second most important would be X-Wing Fighter Luke, as the original one was the first SW figure I ever owned and there are a lot of personal memories attached to it. Third would probably be a tie between Bespin/Dagobah Luke and Hoth Luke.

And I just realized that 3 of those four all appeared in ESB. Guess which movie I like the most?

Gotta be Phantom Menace for sure.

And these things give the old Kenner figures a bad name. They look like the best MU has to offer in comparison.
