Despite being highly popular with MOST collectors, because of their awesome sculpts(minus a couple missteps)/playability with accessories. You have a select few who don't even collect the line/only bought one figure who wont shut the hell up about the fact that the figures are a couple millimeters shorter than their Marvel Legends which throws them into a conniption. The lines been out for awhile now, I think it's time for some people to accept that the line might not be for them, but A LOT of other people like it and MOVE THE HELL ON! Go buy Multiverse figures from Mattel, since scale is apparently ALL that matters. Last edited by ok0rdib; 07-20-2016 at 03:30 PM.. |

I would be ridiculously excited for the Sinestro ICONS figure if they weren't so horrible with their release dates(My comic shop doesn't even have the newer wave yet and Static and some of the others seem to be in limbo). But if I can find it, its as good as mine.

NECA is the last company to try to scale things with when they make their toys like 3 inches bigger than anyone else. Quote: I think you guys are being way too harsh on the line, especially one that isn't even a year old yet.

But if you've only bought one figure in the line or none based on the fact that the scale bothers you for whatever silly reason. Then stop acting so authoritarian toward it, and move on. |

There's no waist swivel (desipte the upper torso swivel doing the exact same job as waist swivel, and it's more realistic because you can't swivel an area that's solid bone), or the ab crunch doesn't work (yeah the first wave of figures have really tight torso/ab joints, heat them up, work the joint in, problem fixed). Where someone may not care that a DCUC Batman is more than a head taller than Icons Superman, it bugs the hell out of me. |

I was late to the ICONS party because of scale. Not because they were not in scale with my other figures, but because I didn't know if I wanted to start a new scale. Heck, I have almost every DCD and DCC figure they ever released and there's about 5 scales going on there, all within the 6"-7" range. Yeah, a lot of people really moaned about it at the time, but it never bothered me. Just don't pose your Alex Ross Superman next to Your Superfriends Batman, ya know? A good figure is a good figure is a good figure.

Honestly, if there's one thing the 6 inch and 3 3/4 inch scales share, it's size inconsistency. Seriously, there's no definitive size measurement for both, companies just go for somewhere AROUND that scale. It'd probably be a problem if you were customizing something, but you're likely to use another figure from that line as a base anyway(though there are exceptions sometimes). Plus, you'd likely have a separate display for the various lines, so why do you need it to match exactly?

As much as I want those figures I gave up on ever seeing them made a while ago. Still I'm glad to finally see S:TAS figures. Think I'll hold off on that set though since I'd rather wait and see what the single release Superman will come with. I know he doesn't have all the gadgetry someone like Batman has but seeing all the cool stuff the B:TAS figures have I'm hoping Superman will have some cool stuff. |

Saw the video yesterday and there's an image that wasn't included here that looked like it was part of the Animated Series Batman Expressions pack. It was of two new hard plastic capes for Batman. One was fully extended gliding cape and another that looked like it was blowing in the wind. They took their sweet time with the movie version of Batman and just by looking at this image, I'm not sure it was worth it. Mafex promo images still look better. The Collectibles Knightmare Batman also looks a little off, the Mezco version revealed today has stolen the thunder from this one. Finally a Superman Animated figure! But a two pack? I'd rather have more accessories like extra hands or alternate heads. The expressions pack is a great package. Sold separately from Batman, I assume. |

They use a 7" scale (roughly 1/10 scale) which is actually used by other companies (although sparingly) like DCC's Arkham series figures or Diamond's Select figures. The big thing with NECA is that more than half of what they make are characters who are supposed to be bigger already than average people so the toys wind up at 8 or even 9 inches tall. But the basic humans (Freddy Krueger, Booker DeWitt, the DC movie figures they did, etc.) are all sitting at or very close to 7 inches tall. I think it all goes back to McFarlane when their staction figures were all the rage and they were all in a 7" scale so it's become the thing for American based companies to do.

As for DCU, does it bug you that Chemo is too small? Same goes for the Anti-Monitor? How about that Swamp Thing and Lobo were too tall?

Great job on the Affleck Batman with the multi-purpose cape as well as with the DC Films line. The rest...crap. They really gotta do away with those stiff capes.

What the hell are you talking about? The ones on the Icons are rubber, not hard plastic.

Wow, just wow. You are one truly picky fan. I'd rather at least have the character first then worry about scale second.

Not to prolong the Icons scale talk, but I interpret them as 'true' scale and Marvel Legends as 'Heroic' scale. Anyway, I don't know why but the torso on Aquaman looks off some how, same as the one that's already out. But I want a nice tall Aquaman/Jason Momoa for my shelf. I'm a little confused, is the head pack for TAS Batman just an accessory pack or does it come with a figure? I really don't want to have to chose between that and the one with multiple capes that's been floating around. Something also looks a little odd about Captain Marvel's torso. Maybe too V-shaped? But to echo pretty much every one, I NEED THAT ETRIGAN |
