That Expressions Pack Joker, as shown in the pictures posted in the article, also comes with interchangeable parts to give him just his normal outfit.

Wait, so you get the Joker figure WITH the expressions pack? I thought the Expressions pack was just a pack of faces like Batman. I didn't know they were giving you the figure too.

i was thinking the same thing. yes, they give you a figure with changeable clothes (trench and purple coat) plus all those accessories.

When DCC did the unboxing for the Batman pack on Facebook, they mentioned that all of the heads in the pack would work with the single carded and 2 pack versions of Batman as well. I would imagine that the Joker would be the same way.

Hmmm... no Icons anywhere on display?

I know they killed the line, but there are still figures slated to come out.

Suppose they don't want people to remember it, and want to just move on to Essentials.

The Harley expression pack is cool, too bad the actual figure itself is terrible or I might just get it.

The Joker expression pack being placed over the sketches from the show really highlights the inaccurate sculpt. His eyes are way too big on every sculpt, and he lacks the heavy black around his eyes, instead just having a really thin black line around each eye. Plus the default expression still looks awful. Same with Harley, they went to all the trouble making all these new, more accurate in Harley's case, headsculpts and then left the shitty orginal ones unchanged.

DCC really botched the animated line badly. What a waste.

Honestly, I'm betting the only reason they are releasing Nightwing, Supergirl, and the Sons pack is that they need to recoup the costs of what they paid to make all of the prototypes they have shown off. Same goes for the Sups/Dooms 2 pack.

So is anyone at the con going to actually ask DCC about interchangeable hands and question their commitment to the Essentials line or are people just going to gawk at them on the show floor and tell DC how nice they look like tools?

No one from our team is doing "info seeking". They have a packed schedule as is and each one of these company reps wants to chat for an hour or more. If they stopped to ask every question that you, the people on our Facebook and our Twitter feeds have, then we'd get nothing done all weekend.

The Essentials lines seems promising, especially GL, WW and Nightwing. Quite psyched about that Nightwing actually.
The biggest letdown for me is the Bombshells reveals..... I was looking forward to Canaryyet this 3D interpration seems to have missed the mark somehow...... I ll guess I ll have to wait and see how she turns out on release but I m not very optimistic at the moment.....
*facepalm*

I would really love to buy those Joker/Harley expressions pack but I think its a bit of a waste on my budget at the moment and with so many cool imports coming up.

I just wish that they would give Superman and Batman multi-purpose cloth capes instead of the stiff ones. If NECA can do it, so can they.

I don't mean you guys specifically, I just mean in general. I mean, there is thefwoosh, toynewsi, Pixel Dan, Shartimus Prime, Jay C, figures.com, actionfigureinsider, etc, but none of them are actually asking DCC about the figures.

I'm gonna have to buy that Joker expressions pack. Some of those grimaces are just great. And truthfully that line is shite!

I would gladly get the dc essentials line , after seeing the articulation video they do look good, i will get only the classic looking figures though like green lantern and the flash , the rebirth designs im not a big fan of though GL labelled as rebirth hasn't changed at all.

There's a video? Do they also talk about what accessories they come with? Like if Flash comes with running hands?

here is a link to the video DC Comics - DC Essentials - New Action Figure Line Reveal - IGN Video (For toyark moderator, i know we're not to share other links to sites, but this was one where we can see the articulation video)

Ign had done some coverage , didnt say anything about like swap-able hands
Im guessing each figure might come with a stand , and small amount of accessories.

Oh, there's nothing in that video I didn't already know. Phooey.

Well wait a minute, why is the dude never rotating the ankles so the feet are flat on the ground?

Check out the gallery of the figures on display at SDCC. Flash, Aquaman, and Deathstroke are in action poses and clearly have their feet flat on the ground. The ankles look like Revoltech joints where you have the revolving ball joint with a peg on each end.

I watched Pixel Dan's interview with one of the DCC guys this morning. I don't remember the name of the guy who Dan talked to but he did say that they were focusing on adding more range of movement to these figures instead of articulation points.
