Hahaha finally a DC figure with articulation, Im very happy that a 3.75" DC characters line with awesome sculpt and articulation is starting(?) , now DC 3.75" gets the respect they need after being short handed by DCIH.

Hahahaha, it figures (pun intended). All the times Matty was being rude with his, "We can make DC 3.75 Figures but fuck you for even asking" and now THIS! DCC but only at conventions, thus ensuring the scalper market a victory. I feel about as raped as when the GI Joe Collector club puts out awesome looking Iron Grenadiers and you have to pay out the @ss if you want them to the tune of 600-700 bucks (if you go to EvilBay).

I'm hoping Demand puts these things in comicbook stores at the least

One more super-negative rant about 4 inch scale DC figures.
DCIH wave 1: Guy Gardner, Adam Strange, Professor Zoom, Black Hand MU wave 1: Iron Man, Spider-man, Wolverine, Punisher, Daredevil, Johnny Storm, etc. Which line actually sells their first wave and doesn't languish on the pegs forever? Does DCD get the f'ing clue? Nope. Enjoy Kyle and Kilowog. |

These are being sold at convensions. Who is going to buy these? Collectors! Parents arent going to walk into SDCC or any other convension Not knowing what the fuck is going on there and treat it like a walmart. No Grandmother is going to go to Comiccon to try to find somthing nice for her grandson without knowing what it is. and Kilawog and Kyle Rayner top characters. Not Batman or Superman Top, but one leads a Lantern team and was the replacement of Jordan, and the other is fucking Kilawog!! these are just the exclusives for SDCC. Lord knows what they will show us next week! These things are going to sell like mad.

I am really hoping that this "Convention Only" set is just limited to this set to create buzz, and that DCD has a full line of 3 3/4" DC figures that is going into local comic shops. I have a much easier time find DCD then Mattel believe it or not.
Either way, nice to see some articulated DC 3 3/4" figures for a change. |

Huh.
I don't think I've ever been this balanced between rage and elation. Almost to the point of - what's the word...? Oh, yeah. Indifference. I'd snatch them up at Walmart or even at my LCS, though. Otherwise, I'll be more focused on any TF exclusives just like every other year.

Keep 'em convention exclusive: they'll sell
Make convention exclusive characters and repaints but a new line for comic/specialty stores: they'll sell more. Masss market is the risk, not comic/specialty stores, do et DC Direct!

Haha its like they're "toying" with us. But, you know by doing this they are generating demand and news of these spread across the net like wildfire. I see it the same way movies put out the interactive teasers on the web.

now that I think about it('m still getting it. its tits), if DCD really wanted to please collectors while putting these only in convensions, they should make them 6 packs instead of 2. proper wave.

Very nice figures, but I'm going to play this game. If these aren't sold at comic/specialty shops I'm not going to buy any.

I am biting now because I don't want to miss out. It already happened with DCUC sub and MOTUC sub. If the line fails, I then get unique figures that not many other people have.

Otherwise, I'll be more focused on any TF exclusives just like every other year. As badly as I've been dying for a line like this, and to start it off not only with Green Lantern, but with fuggin' KILOWOG... and not JUST Kilowog, an absolutely fuggin' amazing looking Kilowog... this is literally my dream come true. And then to find out the entire line itself is limited to convention exclusives... not just this particular set, not just this deco, or these characters... I could live with all of that, even as much as it would pain me... but the entire fricking line being a convention exclusive? It's not even worth bothering. I'ts like if Hasbro announced a Beast Wars revival of all new molds, that are absoutely as perfect to them as RTS Jazz, and then announcing they will only be convention exclusives, and never sold any other way. Just... not even worth caring about. It's one massive "FU!" to all fans, everywhere.

Shit. These dudes look awesome. I wonder if Mattel is getting out their articulation kinks out incase they really do end up taking over the Marvel line through Disney...?

These aren't Mattel, and Mattel isn't taking over the Marvel Lisence.

These figures are not made by Mattel.
