I'm curious once folks have these in hand what the plastic quality is like.

Back in the heyday of ML, I picked up a handful of DCD toys.

I haven't bought a DC Direct toy since DCUC started coming out because DCD figures had a more brittle plastic that tended to break easier. They were designed more for displaying than they were posing. DCUC toys (like Marvel Legends) were more durable and meant for playing/posing.

It would suck to shell out $25-30 for figures that would break if they fell off of the shelves.

the sculpts looks fantastic, but i see some articulation issues. theres no waist and wrist swivel. I think the chest and ab pieces are separate so they can move individually like MU figures. But they do have ankle joints which are fantastic for helping them stand better. If this goes retail, its gonna take soo much willpower to not buy into these.

I don't think they will be convention only for the whole line. They said the positive feedback they got about the figures was way more than they exspected. So they know they would sell well I think just this set might be convention only. And I'm pretty sure this is how marvel universe started out at sdcc they wanna see the response before they make an investment. And why do people complain about the metallic look this set is based of the blackest night series and all the colors in that story were very vibrante. Also they are suits made out of energy and I think metallic paint gives a good sense of that not the old fashion dull colors. These figures are like dc direct had a baby with marvel universe lol

They had a pretty long GL character listing with TBA next to them. Add in the fan reaction and we might get lucky after all with these figures becoming specialty market items. Here's hoping at least.

I love the metallic paint jobs, but if the metallic ones stay con exclusive and the specialty stores just get flat or gloss colors, I'd be fine with that too. All around these are just too awesome!

Well, the raffle was walk up and take a ticket, it's a winner, here us a wristband to buy two from the booth. It looked like 19/20 people were winners and if you lost you could just walk right around and draw again. The booth is even really fast to walk up to and buy. They made a ton so I think they wanted to create some demand/avoid a line at the booth with the tickets. The ebay prices are nuts on these right now.

As far as the quality goes I'd say it's decent for the first figures in a line but my Kyle's legs popped off twice. Tight joints to start.

As far as I can see these are the articulation points head, shoulder, bicep, single elbow, fore arm or wrist depending of figure, upper torso,ab crunch, hip double knee, ankle but I noticed on hannu he has no ab crunch but it looks like he might have waist swivel and on kilowag right above his knee he has a swivel but I can't tell if all the figures are like that. And it looks like most have swivel on the fore arms right were their gloves end except for John Stewart he looks like he has wrist. And ab crunch and upper torso swivel is a weird combo but might work out well I'll have a YouTube review as soon as my figures are in hand next week.

I reeeeally hope they change their moinds on this line being convention exclusives. And please make "regular" versions of Kilowog and Kyle so people can actually get them too!

Im alittle disappointed that for a good dc 3.75 line we have to wait till late 2013 if Im reading that right and only if all the steps are hit on the way. ...but wow I m noit a GL fan but that display and line looks great.

I just realized something funny. There are 12 figures shown. 2 released 10 for 2013. So far for 2013 MU has shown 8 figures. We know there are more coming but at the moment dc 3.75 has more declared for 2013 than marvel.

Thanks! The legs popping off is not unheard of at the 4 inch scale. Some MU figures still suffer this problem. As long as it pops back on, it's coolio.

I don't know, dude. You put out some impressive customs. They might not be worth replacing. And as long as they aren't obscure GL characters, they should be safe for a good while.

Well if anyone can snag me a pack it would be so very awesome of you. I've had 3 other people fall through and leave me hanging.

I'm not sure how well these sold cause by Saturday you no longer needed a wristband to buy one. They had a whole stack left.
