Thanks!

Wonder Woman and Cheetah are my favorites of the new wave. And yes, WW is hard to keep standing because of the heals. From what I've seen of the Rebirth comics, WW is in flats so I'm not sure why they changed it for the figure. It's a little annoying but this is still my favorite WW figure.

TNI is reporting that DCC will have new Essentials figures to show at SDCC. The four figures listed are Batman, Poison Ivy, Superman in his black suit, and Bizarro. There weren't any pictures shown so I don't know if Batman will be the Knightfall version that is up for preorder or a new one.

I've held off buying any DC Essentials but if they release a Poison Ivy to the standard the other figures seem to be I'm going to start buying them. I just hope they pick one of the better costumes.

DC Collectibles will hold its annual panel, moderated by Samm Levine, in Room 9 on July 18 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. PT. Led by Executive Creative Director Jim Fletcher, the panel will also consist of special guests Todd McFarlane and Jake Castorena. From limited edition statues and action figures to prop replicas, busts, and vinyls fans can join the DC Collectibles crew to hear the latest exclusive news about what’s coming and how each designer turns their amazing ideas into fan-favorite items.

You might not want to bother. Apparently DC said at their panel that the Essentials line is coming to an end.

Got myself a Night Wing figure and let me tell you it is superb. it has tons of articulation. it sits just below the 7" mark on my tape measure. there were some people that said that the arms were kinda long but the issue is actually the wrists, they made them longer cause they added a ball joint. in hand you cant even tell thou. and they finally added a bird head on the chest logo. i never bought a Night wing fig cause no company bothered to put a bird head on the symbol. i mean, he is night wing after all.

How’s the joints on his knees and ankles on yours? Mine suffers from what only can be described as Bambi Knees.

that might be due to Todd Mcfarlane taken over on DC figures which hopefully will be a decent set of DC figures , that last a long while. I can't commit to DC mostly there lines last what 1.5 years maybe 2...
Which is why im excited for McFarlane, having said that Mafex have been doing some nice batman movie figures and recently 2 comic batmen TDKR and HUSH and hopefully will expand on them. Though maybe only for the batman 80th anniversary

At this point, I can't see MacFarlane doing anything but Batman and Superman characters.

On one hand this outcome could be personally beneficial as there are a number of Batman villains that I'd like to get new comic-based figures but on the other hand I've been starving for new figures of Mister Miracle and Big Barda.

God dammit, looks like I was right. The leaked list for the first wave has 9 Batman characters in it, with four of them being Batman and then two Supermans. There's a CW Green Arrow and animated Green Latern.

Oh, and of course they've gotta have two version of Harley. Jesus christ. How about some god damn variety in your first wave?

Didn't DC Collectibles clarify that Essentials wasn't ending?

Yes they did. Essentials sold better than DCC's expectations so they've been adding figures to the line as best they can. But Essentials was originally meant to be a limited run (16 figures iirc) so the line is going on a short hiatus so they can design more figures. No word was given if Jason Fabok would be doing the designs for the upcoming figures.

You got to start i guess with the big guns i guess , marvel legends first wave for toybiz was iron man , cap, hulk and toad. Spider-man had his own wave. I agree that there is too many batman they could do of just done 1 per wave the same with superman.

One of those Batmans could have been Flash. One of those Harleys could have been a Flash rogue. If McFarlane really wanted to impress us, he would have put some C list characters right in the first wave.

Just like how Icons wasn't ending. And how WB said Thundercats 2011 hadn't been canceled.

Kinda Agree with you on that one. Same way Dcuc’s First wave included Etrigan, Red tornado, Orion And Baf was Metamorpho. I’d love it if he started with some characters other then Batman and Superman but I kinda get why. He thinks/wants to get the heavy hitters(Bats/Supes) out so they’ll sell better then characters like Orion. At least that’s my guess. I just wish he’d taken a risk and started with different characters.

Nice, looking forward to seeing shots of Catwoman.

Aside, with the DC Multiverse Poison Ivy being less that stellar...I wonder if there's a shot for her in the Essentials line??
