I'm just mad at how overly hard it is to find any of hte new ones still.

I'm trying to find the gotham city patrol.... with killer croc, catwoman, hush unmasked, 2 police and a batman.

I really like the hawkman 3 pack, just getting sick of having to get them off ebay

PASS. Just... big fat stinking PASS. The worst Fury Files figures look better than these...

... and shrink the hands down, please....

Only the singles & the 3 packs are mass retail. The others are exclusive to Toys R Us that includes the Gotham City patrol set.

Well then I can gripe over my Toys R Us not having them then since mine hardly has anything DC related.... unless it's movie related or animated and usually that's a Robin with a big head.

Do the DCIH figures have peg holes in the feet like GI Joes or the Marvel Universe figures?

You guys probably have them but TRU is having buy one get one free on the single and three packs. I finally picked up the Flash pack and the Gordon pack. Now that the shelves are clearing hopefully I'll see the newer 3 packs.

The leg I hacked off one of the Thanagarian warriors does have a 25A/SW compatible peghole; but I don't recall one on the Adam Strange fig I also hacked up. That is most likely just my lack of attention at the time; but it may be something they've introduced recently.

And the DCIH figs are good for hacking the accessories off and the tossing the actual figure in the trash. They do have a very cool selection of characters and nice vibrant paintjobs; but Mattel doesn't have a clue who their market is. I'm also insulted that they're mixing the completely-incompatible JLU figs in with them by packaging them virtually identically. Mattel wants us to be too stupid to notice the difference.

Actually that is almost true. The stockers are too stupid to notice the difference. Since Target now has JLU as the exclusives they get mixed up all the time.

Buy one get one free at TRU? I might take them up on that offer.

My Target restocked with these last night! They had Black Adam, Atom, Black Hand, Qwardian, Manhunter, the Question, Wildcat, & Batwoman.

Batman, Power Girl, & Star Sapphire were pictured on the back but I think they are in the next assortment.

Good to know that new product is still shipping. I'm gonna check out my Targets. I only really want Black Adam, Question, and maybe Batwoman.

I really want the 3 packs to start hitting. I really want that Green Arrow 3 pack.

Man, all the ones I want are in three or six packs (Superman, Flash, clear Hal Jordan). Perhaps I'll wait for clearance prices before I get some of them, or off ebay as loose. What are the chances these will show up as single carded?

I just picked up the Batwoman and Question figures because they're the first new DCIH stock I've seen in months. I honestly wasn't impressed, but I'll still buy more, hoping for the promised quality changes soon.

You can check out my reviews of both figures here.

While I like seeing some very obscure characters choices right off the bat, I am very displeased at the price point of these at any retailer but Target. Add into that the limited availability of anything remotely new, and it's a big disappointment.

The colors are vibrant (as AV pointed out) and the facial sculpts are not bad, and I can even live with the generic bodies as a cost cutting measure, but the posability and styling is a joke. I have all the figures up to date from back in October, but until the newer more articualted sculpts hit next year I'm going to hold off buying any more.

I very much want this line to succeed, so I hope Mattel does take the criticisms to heart.

It's laughable to think of Joes and SW figs selling at what's essentially $8 after tax is included, much less these DCIH figs. Mattel has to scramble to either get them non-Target retailers in line until the higher-price-worthy new-articulation figs come out, or get them figs to market to justify the higher price; or watch the line die before the new articulation figs even hit market. And from what I'm reading, the lack of a ball hip in that 'improved articulation' won't actually please the majority of the 18th market, so Mattel's steep climb doesn't look to be leveling out much less lessening out.

All I want is a bunch of figures of all my fave characters in my fave scale I can play with all at once. Is that *really* too much to ask for?

I just got my first DCIH figure (clear Hal Jordan) and I have to say I really dig this figure. I know the articulation sucks compared to Joes, but I love the way this mold looks. Just brilliant! However, I do agree the price point is kind of silly for these figures. They don't really have accessories, or stands, etc. Could it have killed to have included a propper stand? I mean, they have the peg holes for them...

My local comic shop is selling these things for $16 canadian (and up) which is a total rip off. (I haven't seen these in mass retail yet where I live) I definitely want to get a bunch more, but I'll wait until I can find them loose for cheap, or online on clearance, cause as much as I love the figure I got, I can't really justify buying them at their current prices when they offer so little extra.

Also, it kills me that these things are so much smaller than Joes. I know others have said so, but looking at old Hal standing next to Snake eyes is kind of sad. He looks like a glowing elf.

edit: If Hasbro makes an Iceman for their Fury Files line up that looks anywhere near as good as this clear Hal, I'll be one happy mofo. Also, couple hours after I wrote this, I picked up Batman and Superman at local shop for half of what the other comic shop was selling for. They both look way bigger than Hal. It's a good Monday.

And why give them grabbie hands if there's nothing to grab onto? Mattel seriously just doesn't have a clue what they're doing in 18th scale. *Every* figure they've ever done in the scale has been several years behind the state-of-the-art when they came out.

The Captain Power figs were atrociously sculpted in comparison to similar-year Joes. The Secret Wars figs were miles behind the Joes in articulation; and now these DCIH figs are behind the frickin' Secret Wars figs in proportion and dynamic styling.

I would kill to have been a fly on the wall when the pitch proposal was given for this line. What did they guy tell the VP that approved it, and what was going on in that VP's mind when he did? I can't imagine how *anyone* would look at the other 18th lines on the market and think these figs would be a runaway success.

I like prefer the sculpts and proportions of these figures to Secret Wars, but I wish they were a tad bit bigger and of course, had more articulation. At this point, these definitely need more than just Star Wars-esque articulation, I wanted that earlier on, but these need more as the direct competition, Marvel Universe, has a ton more! Even Mezco's Hellboy figures have more, and those are closer to scale to IH than MU is.

Agreed. While I actually love this line, I can't argue with what you've said. If they're gonna have open hands, gotta give 'em stuff to hang onto. Otherwise, just close the fist so at least it looks like they can punch people.

Despite the lack of articulation, I've found that I have a soft spot for this line. The batman and Superman figures I picked up yesterday totally remind me of the 1984 Kenner figures I had as a kid. My only wish is that if they're gonna limit articulation, then at least give me the power action punching!

Note: usually I'm not a fan of molded capes, but I actually really like the ones on Batman and Superman. They don't really interfere with the articulation, so it's all good. Though they're a little cape-heavy, especially Batman who tips over a lot. Hence the need for stands.

I noticed the 25th joe stands don't really fit in these figures. Does anyone know where I can grab some stands that will fit? I checked smalljoes.com, but don't know if those other stands would work or not...

I've been seeing this variant Joker around online. Is this actually rare? or is it just online retailers telling everyone it's rare when it ain't?
