Seriously? I'm gonna have to fight for a Rebirth Supergirl because she's Gold Label?

Dammit, Todd. Why the fuck is half the line exclusives?

Sheesh, hopefully we will start to create new cliches so we can retire the antiquated ones like, “nothing new under sun…yadda, yadda.”

You know what’s new under the sun? Gene therapy – that’s new under the sun. Quantum computing - when it actually happens, we aren’t there yet despite what’s been pitched to angel investors on Wall Street, but it will be new under the sun once it happens. Cold fusion - considering recent breakthroughs in nuclear fusion, we seem remarkably close, which would be very new under the sun. While I’m a fan of nostalgia, my thinking remains flexible. Rigidity of thought leads to intellectual dead ends and is antithetical to evolution.

Except when it comes to manties, of course, as they are the ultimate in superhero fashion accoutrements.

He means the target gold label kyle where he was dressed in his classic black outfit when he first became gl ( and consequently his current outfit again ).

Todd has had the DC license for 4 years. You mean to tell me in 4 years he couldn't have knocked out half the female roster from DC. if he put one or 2 in a wave.

Love how in the press release he mentions Wonder Woman but refuses to give us classic/rebirth Wonder Woman no matter how much on Social Media we ask for it.

There are still way too many batman or batman variant figures being released. Way too many DC dudes and not enough DC ladies represented. It seems like 60 dudes to 1 lady in the McFarlane DC figure lines. Still no comic version Kingdom Come Superman. We did get a KC Batman. More cloth capes like the flash movie version of Batman. Still no guns. Please improve the whole diaper situation (see Mattel's MOTU Masterverse line).

I find the offer of a free protein bar and workout shot more appealing than that Injustice 3-pack...

Todd is starting to follow the hasbro trend of rereleasing bafs after suckers have already bought a wave to complete said baf. A cheap pleather coat is of small consequence.

To be fair, the aircraft-mounted version of the .50 had a full-barrel cooling jacket, but yeah, I don't think there's any way they could have fit two of those monsters inside the movie's Batmobile chassis.

Right, because those apples are so relevant to a tantrum about the oranges of pop culture nostalgia and fashion design.

My dear fellow, you are perhaps the most inflexibly-minded person on this entire forum.

Doesn't seem to be hurting the line, or his relationship with DC/Warner Brothers...

Wouldn't most Nolan!Bat-fans have bought that wave anyway? It's not like Hasbro's character-selection practices where you're forced to buy Z-list randos like Orb or Blue Marvel to complete the BAF.

I do get a kick out responding to your interesting and unsolicited overtures for conversation, but I can’t do the line-by-line rebuttal thing…way too tedious…I suspect that you’ll eventually start commenting on each word I type with meticulously tailored snark and/or awkward memes…

I chuckled at the accusation that I might be the most inflexibly minded poster here. Were that true, I’d be lowkey-impressed with such a distinction given some of the entrenched personalities I’ve encountered on the Ark. Speaking of potentially uncompromising mindsets, are you looking forward to Negasonic’s return in Dead Pool 2 as much as I am?

While you’re likely playing at being obtuse, it seems that you’ve missed the point about what’s new under the sun. You employed a cliché that suggests there’s nothing new in the world; everything is recycled. And within the context of this discussion, nothing new to be done in the way of superhero attire. However, there are plenty of new discoveries being made in the world. New experiences being had. New ideas being explored. New cultures (not “new” to the world, but new within media) with stories to be told – and there is room enough for all. To bring it full circle, there is plenty of room underneath the tent of creativity to love something classic while simultaneously being open to something new. Sure, I prefer traditional hero looks, but I like alternate costumes and reimaged looks as well. In fact, there are some alternate and modern looks that I like better than the original *the horror…*
