That's because male characters represent a great majority of all action figures ever produced. With female characters making up a much smaller percentage of the total, it's fair to include their femaleness as a potential turn-off factor to buyers. Most collectors probably aren't obsessed with having "a decent number of women" in their collection like they were running the HR department for some trendy start-up.

That said, I'm still puzzled by the vast majority of production decisions over the past couple of years. I have money to spend, but the kind of product I want just isn't being produced except in very rare instances, and when it does happen, it's usually years after interest has waned.
I mean, Kitana didn't remotely pegwarm. Yet we got no other MK females and it's all Spawn and Joker and repaints of character that wasted away (hello, Kabal) all the time.

You mean to tell me a classic Poison Ivy or Power Girl will pegwarm? I very much doubt that.

I would love to have more ladies on the shelf but over the years female figures when they do get released are usually subpar figures from a sculpt and articulation standpoint and that problem sits directly on the companies producing them. The ones I do have are all examples of some of the best out there but it's felt like female figures are more often than not an afterthought in the production process.

The issue seems to be less that we aren't interested and more that companies base how well a figure sells off past sales and when you make shitty repaints or terrible sculpts over and over again your previous sales data will probably lead you to believe a lady figure doesn't sell.

Classic Wonder Woman would definitely sell well. Damsel in distress lady figures would sell out pretty quick, too.

1. Make female figures look so unappealing and dumpy so no one buys them.
2. Confirm ones own conclusion that no one wants to buy female action figures

TDK Trilogy Batman looks flawless from this angle. Been waiting 15 years for one that scales with my Neca/7" scale collection.

Most excited I've been for a figure in a while.

To be fair, Supergirl's official model for Injustice 2 looks derpy.

This is what happens when you make a figure based on a Netherrealm designed female face.

So any leaked rumors of who else is in the build-a-wave with the TDK Batman? Is it all TDK themed or just a mix of characters from different source material? I recall Ledger Joker being rumored as well, but didn't think any other Nolan Batman characters were planned. And what could be the build-a-figure/item? Would really be awesome if we got the Nolan Batcycle this way, or better yet as a single separate release.

Wow I didn't realize it would be an entire wave devoted to the Nolan Batman films. If only they could do the same for a Keaton Batman/Batman Returns wave with Batman, Penguin, Joker, and Catwoman. But we know he'll never get the rights to Nicholson Joker and he probably wouldn't do Pfeiffer Catwoman because of his anti-female figure issues. Sounds like they best we'll get is the older Keaton in his updated batsuit from the Ezra Miller Flash movie.

Very good point. I'm still waiting for a truly great figure of Wonder Woman. Always, there's an annoying flaw or defect or the designer has to introduce some annoying stylistic twist.

I really like Batman Begins. Nolan nailed the origin story for that Batman, imo. I hope McFarlane makes that version into an action figure.

So far, I have not gotten any of McFarlane's Batman offerings for various reasons. I really hope that changes with these.

Looks pretty obvious they didn't get likeness rights for Aaron Eckhart OR they need a new portrait sculptor pronto.

I actually don't care about his likeness its the effects accuracy I wanna see. I love eckhart in most movies..but I don't care about the actors in this snooze fest trilogy.

OK, we get it, you don't like the Nolan trilogy. You've commented on that twice now.
I LOVE the first two in the trilogy. The third was OK. But I think the majority of fans were happy with the Bale/Nolan effort.
