This thing looks cheap and awful. One seat with a flip up canopy? Has McFarlane ever seen the film? This is for your six-year-old that you're trying to push Batman on, not adult collectors.

Why does everyone here continually dunk on Hasbro but give McFarlane a pass? More often than not McFarlane releases garbage just as bad (if not worse) than Hasbro. Todd McFarlane of all people should know better. Gold label my rear.

It still looks pretty good for its price and is likely the only 1989 Batmobile we'll ever get in this scale.

If you ever bothered to check the reviews on this before you went on your rant, you'd know that the canopy can either slide forward or flip up. Works both ways.

Not all is lost for those who missed out. We've already seen that Amazon will put up "waves" of preorders to give more people a shot, and we've heard straight from marketing (for Hasbro) that preorders for Amazon exclusive don't cover their full allotment and more will be put up when release time comes.

I think a replacement shoulder piece to cover up the bottom of the cowl/neck and hang a better cape off the shoulders would solve most of the figure's problems. It's a seriously nice base to work off of and the first '89 Bats anywhere near this size to be an actual, playable toy, and that counts for a lot in my eyes.

If The Flash Batmobile is anything to go by, then all is lost. I had that thing in my cart since release date and still haven't seen one at MSRP till this day. I'm not going to glue myself to the computer for possible future 3 minute availability waves. Screw this.

True, Amazon is one of the few places I notice to get wave restocks so here's hoping.

Agreed. I have the Flash version of Keaton Bats and the Batmobile ordered as stand-ins, but I'd happily cancel my order since this is exactly the version I wanted.

Got the Keaton Batman from The Flash and loved it; the soft goods cape allowed me to put the figure into a gliding pose, although the shoulders need some tinkering to achieve that. Hope the '89 Keaton Batman is a major improvement and gets a wider release. And I hope he does the same for Bale Batman in the near future by giving him a soft good cape to get him into a gliding pose like in that scene in The Dark Knight where he cleans house in Hong Kong.

Amazon cancelled soon after release, I just bought the hot toys and moved on.

I find Amazon cancels tons of preorders. Too many to be mistakes, I assume it's something else.

Lots of my WWE Stuff gets cancelled for example.then Batmobiles..those exclusives are messy.
