No I'm not. "Female figures do not sell" is the generalisation.

"Female figures do not sell" requires gender to be the key factor. If this were true then no male figure could ever pegwarm because a male figure cannot simultaneously be a female figure, and if a male figure pegwarms then some other factors beyond gender MUST be at play.

Likewise if no female figure could ever sell well because if they do then factors other than gender MUST be in play. McF Classic Wonder Woman CANNOT have sold out online within hours (and be hard to find at retail) if female figures do not sell. But she did, because she is popular. If a female figure sells because the character is popular then gender cannot be the key factor.

Interesting list. From someone who had collected Silver Age DC Comics, this list is very interesting. Not sure what connections can be made with contemporary comics, but the silver age comic/references present a lot of interesting possibilities. From one of his earlier appearances in Brave and the Bold, Sportsmaster appeared with another character called "Huntress." I would be down for either Huntress from these early appearances (villain), or from her JLU Animated appearances (hero). Other characters of note from the silver age stuff could potentially tie in, including Harlequin (not Paul Dini's, but the SA version) who married Alan Scott (GA Green Lantern.) I would point out that Black Canary (ahem!) appears on one of these SA classic covers along with Starman. So there are some strands of the rope(s) there, that if they got pulled enough, could lead to some interesting character selections from my point of view (as a GA and SA comic collector).

But, heck yeah, the list is promising.
SA Atom (from my showcase #34) would be sweeeeeet!
Manhunter. Yep. Will wait to see this classic Green Arrow. Sgt Rock?? Yes please. Cyborg Superman New 52? Had to look it up. I'd be more receptive to earlier appearances of the character. Fire and Metallo? Heck yes. Yep. Promising indeed.
