So like I said this could more be indictive of brick and mortar retail's continued decline in the face of E-Commerce then a toyline faltering.
I hope the DC line isn't faltering as you put it. Seems like when McToys does it correctly, the figures sell out with the e-tailers (Amazon, BBTS, EE, etc...) and sometimes within a few hours. Even half-well-done figures seem to be doing okay.

I actually wouldn't mind a shift away from the brick and mortar stores. It's not like it used to be, back in the late 1990s when stores stocked things on a regular basis, and we had TRU as the huge retailer. I mean, who didn't get up on a Saturday morning when they didn't have to go to work to make a trip to TRU to see what was stocked overnight? The smaller chains made it difficult on TRU, and now TRU is gone. Now the smaller chains can't seem to get it right. I don't know if WalMart is a small chain, but out of 9 area WalMarts, they pretty much stock some lines as if one, maybe two stores (out of the 9) get the allocation while the other locations sit idle with 1-1/2 year old stock. And they rarely restock items. They are an embarrassment.

I would love to see production numbers on some of these figures. I wish they were published. I don't know what anyone else would think, but I imagine the numbers on some of these figures are between 5,000-10000 units produced. I could really support McToys if the items were up for presell (or preorder) and McToys filled the preorders plus maybe an extra 5-10% for overstock (or restock) with online retailers. Could really help with the character selection(s) fans are presented with, and might open the doors to obscure characters that fans would otherwise never have an opportunity to purchase.

for those who didn't get the arkham knight batman, they're releasing a prestige version, it's on the mcfarlane toystore and gamestop but will be available at other retailers.

That REC accessory is hilariously oversized.

It's a logical repaint of the Arkham Knight suit but not one that I really want. Honestly, the figures that I want from the Arkham Knight game at this point are the Batman Inc. suit, Batgirl from the A Matter of Family DLC, and Poison Ivy.

FWIW according to an old report I read most toy sales are now coming from Amazon and Walmart.

https://metricscart.com/insights/exp...-toy-industry/

Walmart is the biggest physical retailer however like I said before they do have a robust online store which muddies things.

I bought the devastator set when it was heavily discounted and I turned both figures into customs.

Of course Todd released a better Doomsday and I do prefer the body of that and the new kryptonite version, but I like the older head better. I'll be sticking with my custom simply because of my time and effort, but the grass is always greener haha

That Doomsday is not good for me. I hope somebody likes it and buys it. Kind of like the Page Punchers Ghost of Krypton wave. Reminds me of the line from American Beauty when the mom (Carolyn Burnham) asks her daughter "honestly, Jane, are you trying to look unattractive?" And I'm glad the prestige Arkham Batman sold out, that, what, keeps the company afloat till another lousy figure can be made (again, my perspective).

I don't get it. The character selection is just, I don't know, odd to say the least. You have that beautiful statue of Zatanna coming out later this year, why not go with this? Give her a demon bunny rabbit and a deck of cards or something.

And while we're at it, Supergirl should have looked like this. Be better, Todd.

Sorry for another post, but this is just super frustrating. While on the topic, how can you possibly avoid this figure? An iconic cover. Is there some unknown entity that prevents this figure from being made?

Afraid of money? I'll throw gobs of the stuff at you if you'll do (us) the fans right.

You seriously think that this (below) will sell better than Powergirl? Do it right and she'll outsell that entire page punchers wave.

Todd McFarlane doesn't want to make female superhero toys because "they don't sell" that's your unknown entity.

Feel free to join the rest of us in pointing out that this isn't an issue for every other major toy maker on earth and that shit like Captain Atom isn't selling either but that isn't stopping him from flooding Walmart with them.

Oh, and DC Comics is sadly owned by one of the most incompetently run media conglomerates on earth, so they'll be happy with letting a sexist dinosaur stuck in the 90s run the license into the ground to save a couple of pennies.

No I'm not bitter about Mattel losing the license just as they hit their stride again with Multiverse,Masterverse and WWE Elite why would you evvvver think that?

The Gold Label Wally West Flash went up for preorder on Walmart's site last night with a March 30th ship date. I was actually lucky enough to find him at a local Walmart today. Atm, their site doesn't show any stores with WW in stock, including the store where I picked mine up.

Wait. What? Is this line still alive? Todd's recent interview seems to have driven away a lot of interest in the DC Multiverse line. Nearly every website is trying to unload figures (at lower prices) all of a sudden. Even on ebay there are loads of figures that now go unsold or far below retail. When 75%+ of the chatter online is about how bad that interview was, the questions beg to be answered.....Does the line have a future? Has McToys just turned off enough collectors at this point that sales can't recover? I'm not going to say anything bad about it, because I love the figures that have been released. But it is beyond infuriating to hear the words that come out of Todd's mouth.

That's cool to see. And good to see that (possibly) Target has not given up on this line even though shelf space has been relegated to 1/3 of what it was previously.
