This is just my guess, but I suspect that they likely had fewer WW figures produced for sale to start since McFarlane seems weary about the sales numbers for female figures. Using that data, they may have corrected for potential demand with this release?

I suspect that as well.

The case of Starfire with a guaranteed Blackfire did sell out pretty quickly on McFarlane's site.

The deco definitely flatters the sculpt a bit more (which is odd in a manner separate to this), but cobble a different head, at the very least. They are sisters, but not twins. Given the ‘he-man woman hating’ club member McFar cosplays as, maybe this is the best that can be expected.
