Kind of smart on Todd’s part, make the “variant” a paintless version of the standard figure, make more variants than regular figures then save all those pennies in painting costs!

Meanwhile, he rakes up a ton of checks to companies who had to get figures returned to them.

The new Animated Batman line looks very good. It's basically a continuation of the DC Collectibles animated line. The $25 price point doesn't seem bad considering that they all come with clawed stands and way more accessories than reg McFarlane figures.

This Two-Face re-release doesn't include his coin-holding hand, two guns, or two chemical canisters.

I never noticed it until now, but the feet and ankles on these look exceptionally poor. And Batgirl's leg, it already looks thin - skinny - whatever, but is that Batgirl figures leg already warped or was that just a bad photo? N way these can stand on their own, hence the stands pictured with the figures. I'm guessing these (if purchased) will be best left in the package.

The lack of guns is just a continuation of the current WB/DC policy which wasn't in place when the original version released. Not coming with the coin hand is pretty dumb though, I can't account for why they would drop that this time. As for the canisters, maybe they are packed in the case since they could be stored there before and there are no pictures of it open here.

I got the original release of this Batgirl from DCC back in 2015 and she could stand without the base, now for long-term display I've used the base since it was included and while she can stand solo she's also easy to knock over. I am assuming though that these re-issues are made of at-least similar plastic, but if I'm wrong and it's softer plastic then warping in the box could be a problem and standing might be an issue without the base.

Yeah, with the chin tucked and the eyes cast downward (in package pic), it looks more like Bale. The posed version's picture was taken from a more level perspective and the head sculpt suffers when viewed from that angle. A lesson for all those thirsty figs opting for dating apps to bolster their love life. Angles are everything..

I was gonna joke that a masked version(essentially just a regular batman figure) was going to be the platinum version. But, I dont know, that actually seems plausible for mcfarlane I guess.

Seems like they either did not get likeness rights to this guy or just gave up trying to make it look like Affleck

lol. Batfleck sold out? Good thing I’m not a fan of his Batman, or I would’ve been pissed. Crazy how he’s sold out everywhere. It’s not even an exclusive!

Went faster than the Batmobile. Action figure collecting these days is treated like it's the only food source in 300 miles and these starving collectors and resellers race to devour every morsel before anyone else. This plays on one of the most ancient parts of the human brain, FOMO. Reminds me of the teaching of Buddha, where wanting is the thing that causes suffering. You suffer because you want things so bad. Anyway, today I will not suffer because I did not want but I am sad for those who are.
