Metallo does nothing for me. Now this version below would have been an instant purchase. I would have been scrambling. Panic mode that I would miss it.



Fire. Just not for me. I can recall the character from the JL Animated show, and yeah, (I had to look it up) the Brazilian Super Model turned super heroine may or may not be a one trick pony, but, and I really hate to harp on this, the character just doesn't hold the storytelling power of Zatanna or even Huntress. I was curious when I heard of the announcement, but the uni colored figure holds no interest - it just looks cheaply done. I really really really hope that it sells out and further increases the odds I will someday get a memorable version of a character I like. If it had a "regular costume" like below, maybe it gets my attention. But certainly not in a 2 pack with Metallo. (edit)-----> Just saw Fire comes as a single figure. Doesn't help for my purchase.

Rookie wasn't just a suit Gordan wore. It was a robot that I think he eventually wore as a suit. But he fought a lot of battle without wearing it.

That is a dumb version of Metallo to release.

More comments: Punchline and Joker. Maybe as a solo figure I buy Punch, but not a 2 pack with "another" Joker figure. Maybe this is proof that these things don't really sell out as pre order buyers were led to believe. There may be warehouses full of these. Kind of like the Robin (Rebirth Gold Label) which sold out on McToys site, but then showed up months later at BBTS. I wonder how many people would love the opportunity to buy the classic Wonder Woman again?

I don't know the characters of Rookie and Mr. Bloom at all. So those will hold no value to me and I really have no comment. If I was 8-12 years old, Rookie and Metallo (to an extent) would be "cool" to me, but as an (ahem! showing my age) older collector and reader of primarily GA and SA comics, I just am not a completist towards these things.

You want modern and dramatic characters from me? Here's a contemporary 2-pack I would buy in an instant: Sandman and his sister Death.

Surprised by that Batmobile price. Considering it was more expensive when it was originally released. Props where props are due.

The price on the Batmobile is indeed not that bad. My issue would be the size of it. I have nowhere to put it, and I have all the Kenner batmobiles and assorted vehicles in all their glory, plus custom vehicles (Joker getaway car and Harley coupe, Ras al Ghul plane, Gordon police car).

The price on the 2 packs is getting a bat-mite ridiculous considering a lot of these 2-packs and mega figures can be found in the $15-$30 range months later. And while I'm here, how about another suggestion. Or two.

In terms of Fire being an off-character, just remember, DC Comics has the rights to Phantom Lady. There's an obvious PE version of this figure too in the yellow/green.

I like the comic design of that Metallo, but the execution is terrible. He could have just reused the old Blue Beetle body with a new chest and head and it would have been fine. And that's not even counting the weird colors.

And Sgt. Rock? Mismatched uniform, ugly headsculpt and no gun. You're knocking it out of the park, Todd.

Don't be too disappointed. She's totally phoned in on the Knightfall Catwoman body.

And to keep it on topic, and this will be the last one for the day, how did this figure get overlooked? It was contemporary, there was a mega movie (two of them, I guess). And there's a clear PE repaint on this one (although it kind of looks AI created). I mean, really, these things would sell themselves. OK. There I'm done for the day. Personally I think Fire in her checkmate variant was amazing. Though a tall fire does make up for thr weird Dcuc. I hope they do depower and powered.
