I would like to reanimate a dead Bat-Horse here, but the 89 Batman set from Amazon is still available a year later and it warms my heart that the scalpers were crying because they couldn't fuck people over for triple the price. They probably scalped a few people but were left with product that no longer sold for 2X+ the price. This set being still available is not a bad thing.If anybody from mcfarlane reads this forum, It means that anybody who wants one can get one even after a year later and that is how you make toys. 1989 Batman is still popular and probably will be for the foreseeable future. Now , if mcfarlane would just make Batman Returns stuff...

I really wish McFarlane had given us a new Superman on the CoIE Superman body. The new AC #1000 looks nice, but it's an outdated body.

Also, the OP who posted the figure on Reddit took a pic of the back of the figure. The cape has a yellow s-shield on the back.

It’s the same chest as AC1000 while the 3d sculpted S is removed. The neck piece is also updated to work for the cloth cape.

I bet McFarlane will milk this figure for as long as possible. I bet McFarlane will do the gold costume variant and Fleischer variant with this exact figure. McFarlane did those in the Super Powers line.

It's not. There's some suit details and muscles sculpted on the sides of the chest, near the armpit. Also, the way the neck and cape come together on the Earth 2 Superman looks nicer than it does on this figure.
