Hopefully they'll make a non-snowy Black Adam.

Can't tell if the white is partial paint or not, but at least some of the white on legs is from the dio. Looks like they used flour or similar for the floor and it was applied to the legs for artistic purposes.

Final figs may be clean.

The white snow portions are just for the shoot. They aren't part of the figure's paint job.

Wonder Woman looks cool, but since her Rebirth costume is based on the Gal Gadot armor anyway, I'm happy with the two WW1984 figures that I have. I just need to find a suitable sword and shield.

The winter coats on Batman and Wonder Woman just make me wish that McFarlane would consider making a Batgirl based on a fairly recent Rebirth storyline.

Some of the Titans have winter costumes, too.

That would be perfect if they were actually on shelf around this time. Not July.

Distribution is totally wacky anyway. Target is the only place to get most of the Three Jokers figures (Amazon only has Batgirl, and GameStop has The Comedian, their exclusive). No one has Three Jokers Batman. However, Gotham Knights Nightwing is already being found in stores.

So, a rerelease of John Stewart with LESS accessories, and a Black Adam that looks way too prettyboy to be Black Adam? Yeah, no thanks...

The wave looks decent but I've never read the story. I might pick these up if they go on sale.

Also, they should've changed the green parts on John's costume to translucent green. It would give his costume an energized, glowing effect when he's in the light. It would also keep the figure from being a straight up re-release with a new energy construct and a BAF piece.

Yeah, this is a very confusing business decision.

John Stewart's solo release can still be found for MSRP or less. If they wanted to re-use that body, they could've released Hal Jordan (or any other male Lantern, maybe even Sinestro) solo and put Aquaman in the BAF wave.

Do all of them have snow deco on their boots or is that just part of the diorama? If not, then how does this John Stewart differ from the previous release? I might just get Black Adam since its a classic look for him (unless he has snow deco painted on him).

it's really frustrating that they're doing these flavor-of-the-week characters as bafs when there are so many big characters fans are dying to get. even when DC Universe Classics was diving deep with the individual figures they were doing fan favorite bafs.

They're doing BAFs that coincide with the storyline the rest of the wave is from. It makes sense.

i mean, if you're ticking off boxes on a collection inventory form, sure. but i suspect most fans would choose Solomon Grundy or Kilowog over Endless Winter Viking Guy.

I'm not talking about looking realistic but many of the Mcfarlane figures have a huge cavity with their elbow joints.

The diaper Mcfarlane uses has it's pros and cons. At it best it hides the waist swivel, covers up the upper thigh joints, and doesn't impede articulation. At it's worst it does the exact opposite.
I disagree.

I suspect many fans also would rather not have to buy 4 or 5 other figures to get a Solomon Grundy or Kilowog, either. BAFs are tricky like that.

She's fully clothed in the Todd McFarlane Designed version. I got it but returned it because the sword is just waaay too big, lol. If I'm going to buy a spare sword & shield, I might as well just use them with the Gal Gadot figures that I already have.

That's good to know. Just need a proper Captain Marvel to go with him then.

Yeah, John Stewart GL is the biggest disappointment here. They could have at least given him an alternate shouting face, maybe with even greener eyes... hopefully there's some extra parts we don't know about, otherwise it's a dick move to fans who already own the other one.

Not digging the yellow they chose for WW and the kind of makeup face for BA either... hopefully the final versions will look better.

I love the McFarlane figures. This wave is an easy pass though, unless I see it on clearance. Zod looks like Eugene Levy with a beard.

I don't really know if the snow bits aren't part of the toy. It would just seem odd that the snow bits have the exact same texture as the snow on the ground.

It would seem very odd to produce these figures with particles that would be hard to replicate figure to figure and is a lawsuit waiting to happen when it comes to toy safety.

Side eye is one thing but it's just impractical to introduce an element like this for a line that kicks and screams with alternate head/hands.

Man these looks like instant pegwarmers. AT least give John bright glowing eyes so it looks like he;s using his ring or something.

That Black Adam looks too pretty so I'll wait for the inevitable repaint that will have a better face.
