TMNT Stuff didn't let me down. Hopefully we will be able to get it. Excited for Groundchuck. Tokka and Razar (spelled wrong?) Are awesome also.

So many reveals! They all look great but I gotta say my must haves are Flame Thrower MacReady, Demona, and Unmasked Casey Jones.

When does the Loomis and Michael 2 pack go up for pre-order? That is the one that, for me, won the day.

Was hoping for more info on the Mirage TMNT line. Glad we got a tease of The Fugitoid, but definitely expected more. Hoping more is revealed over the next couple weeks via Twitter reveals.

I'm excited that they're making another MacReady figure, but "Station Survivor" Mac looks like the laziest route they could have possibly taken. It's literally the same exact figure with a flamethrower, gun belt, dynamite, and an ice pick(?). I was hoping they would have at least altered the base figure a tiny bit, like the dynamite sticks he has taped to his jacket or his frost-covered beard. Something. I mean, that even looks like the original head sculpt (maybe? Hard to tell).

I really, really hope that NECA doesn't take their usual approach when they get an exciting new license by releasing one character and then bleeding it to death by putting out incremental upgrades/re-releasing it over and over with 2-3 new accessories, eventually killing off interest in the line and as a result, we get no other characters.

NECA sure as fuck better not do that with The Thing after we've been waiting for them to finally get their hands on the license all these years.

*EDIT* Okay, I actually just watched the NECA presentation on YouTube, and they also point out that Mac comes with a few other accessories (like Palmer's petri dish), and that more "things" are coming next year. So that's encouraging!

Really annoyed that the flamethrower wasn't just included with the first Macready. The figure itself looks identical, so we're basically buying a 2nd MacReady we don't need just to get the accessory. This is like the multiple King Kong sets all over again. And yeah it would have been nice if the figure itself was a bit different.... an alternate headsculpt and some snow weathering on his outfit/beard would have made this 2nd release a LOT more tolerable.

Honestly, I'm disappointed we aren't getting more from the Thing. Even if we didn't get a Childs or another member of the crew, I was hoping we'd get some of the creatures.

That Super Shredder looks like it's based somewhat on my grail figure, the Purple Armor Super Shredder. I do have it loose, but the one time I was able to secure it on card, the seller sent me the regular Super Shredder and ended up relisting the Purple Armor one for like 8x as much.

When I asked why they relisted it when they told me they didn't have another to replace it (said they sent it to whoever bought the regular Super Shredder and they didn't send it back), they said they "found another" and marked it at that price instead of the original because they "saw another go for that much".

Wait, so to get Loomis you have to buy him with Michael? Why not just pack Laurie and Loomis together instead?

Demona looks great, but I'm a bit disappointed Thailog will not be in his armor. I'll probably pass on him because of that. I was hoping NECA was going to at least get us the entire main crew before diving into the repaint realm though...

Did they say anything about Imhotep including his garments from the post 5 minute mark of the original Mummy film?

Also, did they give an actual release date for Part VII Jason yet?

Oh yeah.... STILL no reveals/info on Hammer Horror. What's up with the delay on that?? Didn't NECA announce like a year ago they got the license for Hammer? I've been anxiously waiting all year to see what they do with it and after such a long wait I really hope it's not just going to be 8" MEGO style figures. I want plastic 7" ones to mix in with the Universal Monsters line.

The flame effects on H2 Michael Myers look absolutely retarded. But we finally get a 7-inch scale Dr. Loomis, so that's cool.

And I like the new "realistic" paintjobs on the AVP Arcade re-releases.

Overall, NECA's starting to bore me lately, honestly. Aside from finally getting The Thing license, that is, even if it's looking like it'll just be 200 minutely-different MacReadys and nothing else. When's Arctic Kung-Fu Grip MacReady coming?

Happy for the defenders and TMNT fans, but as a Horror/Predator NECA buyer this kinda was a snoozefest. No real predator reveals, no word on hammer horror, no Thing creatures, although I'm glad I held off on Mac because I just need one with the flamethrower. Loomis in the 7inch scale and burning michael is pretty cool, but I was hoping for Halloween 4/5 ultimates or new Jason reveals.

I hate to say it, but I agree NECA's been pretty boring as of late.

Ever since NECA got the Godzilla license and then did nothing but Godzillas with it, they have been boring me.

Don't get me wrong, I love them and I am excited for the Gargoyles and Universal Monsters line, but they don't seem to take advantage of their property's possibilities. I mean, we still don't have a full set of both the Nostromo crew in their regular clothes or all of the main Space Marines. They keep delaying their Part VII Jason and have done no victims to go with him. Same with Michael. Like where is young Laurie, Sheriff Brackett, Annie, Allyson, Karen, etc?

Hell, years ago when they had the Legacy of Kain video game license all they did was Kain figure that had very little articulation and then four different versions of Raziel. They didn't do any of the boss characters, Ariel, Mobius, any of the residents of Nosgoth, well, anything period.

It's like they buy a license and then do the bare minimum with it, at least as far as character selection is concerned. I love how many accessories they give to their figures, but what's the point of giving Jason a machete, axe, pitchfork, knife, bottle opener, spear gun, etc, if there is no one for him to use them on?

I'm not the biggest Hammer horror fan, but I would totally dig doing comparison shots of the Lee Frankenstein monster with the Karloff one and Lee's Karis against an eventual Universal Karis.

Too many cheap repaints/rehashes in these reveals. Why another purple Super Shredder that looks the same as the previous one? Why another Chucky/Tiffany 2-pack that also looks like the set I already got 2 years ago?

Disappointed that NECA wants to roll out a bunch of repaints of the existing Defenders of the Earth sculpts. You can't just repaint Ming and Flash in the 1980 movie colors and have people accept that those are the actual movie figures when they don't have the right headsculpts and actor likenesses or accurate costume details. I was hoping we'd get confirmation that they'll complete the rest of the Defenders with the Lothar and Mandrake figures they already sculpted and maybe Garax to complete the original vintage line up. But instead, repaints nobody really asked for. And a Phantom that finally comes with a pair of pistols that the first release should have included (more Kong/Macready forced-double dipping). NECA is getting as bad as McFarlane with these variants that include one extra accessory/headsculpt that should have been in the original release!

The only stuff I'm excited about is the Michael/Loomis set, all the TMNT stuff of course, and more figures from The Boys. The rest is very MEH

Yeah, about that - I have a slight worry that the next figure is going to be a "stone skin" Goliath, then a battle damage Goliath, all with different accessories, and then, surprise surprise, cancelled: "We had so many figures sculpted but the demand for the line just wasn't there".

That's just me being a pessimistic worrywart, but the scars from the Crash Bandicoot-line are still there. But to be fair, Thailog is an actual character, even though his armored-up appearance is much more iconic.

I'm excited about the vintage 1930s-1940s comic hero line they are starting.

And the Universal Monster line.

I'm only disappointed we didn't see the Mego-style Jaws Hooper. Other than that I'm ok. I was going to buy multiple MacReady's already, so I don't mind and to be honest really expected these types of variants. It's a movie we've gotten jack from lately so I'm still happy to get them.

I'm glad we're finally getting a jump suit Doc and am definitely getting Griff too. I'd like to get the Channel 6 set but not going to kill me if I don't get it.

The Defenders variants and Flash Gordon stuff I have zero interest in, that seems like tons of repaints to show off at once. Three more Flashes and Mings is 100% overkill to show at once.

NECA said they've got tons in the pipeline so they didn't reveal as much as they normally would at SDCC. Everyone is doing that, no one is showing off nearly as much as they typically do at SDCC, so wha twe got is more or less what I expected.

I'm concerned about Walmart exclusives because frankly, Neca has dropped the ball hard there. They don't care if Walmart actually sells their stuff.

Super Shredder - I'm not sure what the game is here. Walmart didn't sell it before, what's changed? Nice for people who could get it before or didn't want to be $50 to $60 Neca preorder but if its the same situation as before then who cares?

Casey Jones, I don't know what went down there for why it wasn't unmasked the first time. Maybe someone just dropped the likeness ball that even the actor was confused.

I'd like to get it and just sell the two pack but again if it's a Walmart exclusive, it's not for sell in the majority of the US.

TMNT2 Shredder looks nice.

I wish NECA would team back up with Gamestop or do more with BBTS with the TMNT movie figures.

I don't mind the repaints of Flash G, Phantom, and Ming. Again....Walmart exclusives(Target and co must not want to deal with them). Otherwise they look nice. Clearly they didn't want to purchase likeness rights. Sorta okay with that but I understand.

I hope they address the paint on the hinges. I got flesh colored paint chips all over the place. Rather they just not paint them if they wont make them the flesh tone of the characters.

Where the other guys though?

Gargoyles

Thailog made perfect sense. I'm not surprised they went with his first appearance. His armored form would be a totally different mold. You know people would ask for the first form anyway. I'd be excited to see the Mecha/Iron Gargoyles down the line.

So yeah I like this showing but you can't tell I'm sour on NECA being BFF's with Walmart. So much stuff never showing up in my city due to that.

The one bad thing is those TMNT movie figures. Walmart is essentially banned in some major cities, so anything Walmart exclusive is a no go.

Next year is the 40th anniversary of The Thing and they're definitely saving some stuff to ship next year too. Sounds like they're going to do a lot.

As far as Casey Jones goes, the actor was approached and said no to doing the likeness. It really wasn't until Judith Hoag contacted him and convinced him to do the figure were they able to secure his likeness, so it was the actor not NECA.

It sucks for Wal-Mart but basically NECA has put online almost all of the movie figures at some point to buy direct from them.
