There are actually three from this wave I want to get. Batman in his sweet new suit, Robin, and Red Hood. Maybe a fourth if the last figure in the wave is Harley or the Arkham Knight himself.

Also, these are all Arkham Knight figures, not Arkham City.

Gave in and ordered Batman off Amazon but I also went ahead and pre-ordered the second half of Beware the Batman with it so that's free shipping and two trips saved.

Not exactly my cup o' tea, but these look mostly nice considering these are meant for like kids to play with and stuff. My only gripes are:
1. Why does the box say adult collector? These aren't super detailed, and the pose is sturdy and seems aimed for play durability. The DCC Arkham Knight 6.75" figures are adult collectible, these are definitely good ol' fashioned toys.
2. Why doesn't Two-Face have a gun? That seems like something he should have, he doesn't even look like he could hold a gun from another figure.
3. Scarecrow's sculpt is nice considering the size of these, but his lack of paint is pretty bad. Overall it looks nice, but with more than 4 colors he could have looked a lot better.

These are definitely an adult collector line by Mattel's standards. Just take a gander at their other 3.75" Batman line (which IS aimed at kids) currently on shelves to see the difference, as well as all of the previous movie toys.

If he wanted it and could afford it, why not? $20 is pretty disposable. If I didn't have the whole wave already I'd have purchased it.

yeah I know..just hope he doesn't have buyers remorse later when they hit retail for $9.99 that's all
I hate to see collectors overpay for figures that going to be readily available rather than Hard2Find...to each his own though
its all good

With the way things are in stores around here I'd be lucky to find them. I still haven't seen any of the movie wave. Just a couple of Freezes at Target. I figured I'll go with the sure thing with Batman (who is five bucks cheaper than the others) and if I see the rest in stores I'll grab them then. Just wish I didn't have to wait until October to get it.

My main area of 4" figures is MU/MI and those have better articulation/detail than these, but they don't label themselves as adult collector items. Truth be told I don't know about the other Mattel figures so I suppose these could blow those away.

Yeah, I haven't seen any of the movie toys in stores either, with the sole exception of a lonely Zod I once saw at Walmart. I'm getting pretty frustrated, I'm dying to get that Superman and Catwoman.

It took a lot of effort to stop myself from ordering Robin and Red Hood for $25 each this morning.

I came really close to adding Robin to the Amazon cart but Beware the Batman was cheaper and I really ended up liking that show despite it's slow start.

I really appreciate that mate but I wasn't too worried about the movie figures. I figured if I saw them I'd pick up Keaton and Reeve for my wall but they weren't a major priority.

No K-Marts around here either. My only options within driving distance are 2 Targets and 3 Wal-Marts. We'll see how the new Arkham figures go. I didn't have any problems with the first wave.

I think you made the right choice. The show was just watchable at first, but once they got to the Humpty Dumpty episode and then the Metamorpho one, it was pretty obvious that the show was something special. I like its version of Katana quite a bit, too.

If Robin had bicep swivels and/or a bo staff, I probably would have caved. Bare-bones as they are, I don't think any of the Multiverse toys are worth $20 or more. AK Batman looks surprisingly good, though, despite my dislike of it in the actual game.

Once Ra's and the League get involved is when they really start to up the stakes. After watching the first DVD and what I've read about in the latter half of the season I can't wait to finish it.

Once the new Multiverse figures start hitting retail even if I can't find them around here then at least they should be cheaper online I'd hope. Batman probably isn't worth the $2o but what the hell I was going to use that money on these any way. It's probably a good thing I ordered him when I did though Amazon only had one left when I was browsing around earlier.

Hope these show up at retail soon. MSRP is 8.99 and the only store that still honors it is the grocery store Meijer. TRU I'd only buy them if they'd price match. Need to get proof from Meijer and keep it with me.

Walmart and Target are like 9.98 and for how basic these are 9.98 is pushing it for me.

I just bought these as cheap desk toys that wouldn't break as easily and weren't so valuable as the DC Direct Arkham figures. But now people are paying DC Direct prices for these and they're getting hard to find. In just couple months we'll be getting figures over 6 inches with a normal figure for 25! Mattel is trying to make them cheap but retailers and the 2nd hand market are pricing them as high end figures.

Definitely going to have to get Robin, Red Hood, and the cloth cape Batman.

DC Multiverse is definitely getting better and better.
