I just picked up my monthly stash and I read FF 13. The art is a real piece of crap. Who is Juan Bobillo? He sucks, he also does issue 14. Where did he learn to draw. I couldn't recognize who was who it was so bad. there was this one guy who wandered through the story and it was almost at the end I realized it was an alternate Reed. Wow it sucked that bad. I am not even sure if I liked the story or not it was so bad.

I hope he isn't a long term thing or I might say good bye to this book.

Exactly- Marvel seems to have no art standards these days- they'll even halfass a issue with some pages by one artist and the rest by another in a comlpetely different style- that final 9awful) issue or Iron man 2.0 had this.

Or, as with this case (and Secret Warriors), they'll put some crap artist on a title, see the backlash from fans and then stick anyone else on there quick!

I honestly dont thing FF will last the year.

I ma kind of hoping they do cancel it. It just seems to be a back up story now that does little, well except for Kill Doctor Doom

If you read the FF/Fantastic Four letters column, there was a backlash over the crap FF art and they switched artists quick!

Something that really bugs me is that the artiss on both books have no clue how to draw children- none!
Valeria is supposed to be what? Six! Franklin is 12, going on 13 and Alex Power is established by Hickman (and Reed in dialogue) as nineteen freakin years old! In FF he's drawn like he's seven!

..and if Alex is 19, then Jack Power is 17, Julie is 18 and Katie is 14- she's older than Franklin!

For that matter, Leach was shown as 16ish in Civil War- a thin but tallish teenager- now he's been regressed to childhood.

My theory is that Franklin reverts everyone in his sleep to his idealized version of each person- which would explain why Johnny only develops into maturity when he's away from Franklin!

I guess he has been hanging out with Peter Parker cause he never seems to age. I also figured out that the Marvel universe is about 18 years ago so it also makes him the world's worst student.

Actually, Peter has an associates degree and a teaching certificate- they've frozen his age at around 29- long enough to have had a ton of crazy but not so old as to lose his reader demographic (which is why they undid is marriage).

The rest of the core Marvel heroes are about eight to twelve years older- Tony, and Cap are late 30's, Ben and Reed are early-mid 40's (with now Sue mid-30's and Johnny the same age as Peter) and that leaves room for kids like Avengers Academy to have grown up watching superheroes on TV.
The whole "New X-Men" group i no mid-30's. Dazzler laments how her 20's are behid her and Cyclops' group are all older than her.

Well the problem with that is Hulkling is fifteen. He was fathered by Mar-Vel and the Skrull Princess. That happened during the Kree/Skrull war which took place in Avengers 89-97. The universe must have been 3 or 4 years old by that time. Peter said he was fifteen when he started to be Spider-Man in Civil War. He appeared a bit after the FF did. Pete graduated high school about issue twenty or so. Makes time add up. And they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't those blasted kids, and by that I mean the Young Avengers.
