I wonder if Mattel will take some responsibility if this line doesn't sell?....

Eh, kinda reminds me of Imaginext or the Target-exclusive DC line. Not my cup of tea, but if kids like them, great. In 5-10 years they can bitch about how toys like this suck just like the rest of us.

My son loves his superheroes, but the one thing that disappoints him is the lack of playsets for his figures. He looks at the pictures of me from when I was his age playing with the Mego Wayne Foundation and the like an dwishes the toy companies would come out with, say, a Justice League Watchtower for his guys.

Trust me, "Santa" wishes they'd do this as well - because he's all about presentation on Christmas morning! :-)

What's the purpose of this line? I mean what hole in the collecting community does this fill?

Wow... Mattel/DC just can't get anything right, can they... walking through the toy aisles in my area is like looking into a clogged toilet jammed up with this kind of DC junk.

It's for kids the thing is Mattel has been mishandling the DC line for a while now. That is why I posted if the line bombs will Mattel keep blaming the buyers and what not and still pretend they know what they are doing with the DC line.

Are these 4 inch figures? I'll probably pick some up because the articulation looks pretty decent.

While I would love for Total Heroes to have the same gimmick as Marvel Mash-Ups, as far as we are aware TH does not have it.

I think the idea with TH is kind of the opposite strategy of Hasbro. Instead of the big figures being for collectors and the little ones for kids, Mattel is apparently going the other way. I can kind of see the logic behind that decision: less detail and articulation (for the kids!) means more money in the budget for larger figures. Smaller figures means more money in the budget for detail and articulation.

Of course, logic means absolutely nothing to some people.

Love this line. Love the cartoon sculpts colors and figures chosen so far. Hope it lasts. They look great on my self. Stand perfectly and for those that want to play with them they have articulation.

I saw a lone Superman at Wal-Mart a few nights ago. Looked okay but not really my cup of tea. I like the Batman Beyond they showed at Toyfair though. Those alt heads are a great addition.

Batman Beyond looks great. Anyone have any idea when he is set to be released?

i saw the sinestro and green lantern yesterday, but since we were spoiled by the DCUC lines, i will keep comparing the new figs to that line. these new figures dont match up.

Of course, for those who may collect this line, it will take a while to get a collection that even comes close to DCUC

Saw Sinestro today at TRU and he looked kind of cool, but the lack of articulation once again ruins everything.
