Hello everyone!
2 quick questions about DCUC: 1) Why is Giganta so expensive? Any chances the prices would drop someday? 2) Elastigirl is cheaper; is the figure worth my attention?

Especially tough to find was Gentleman Ghost. Can't complete Giganta without it. Elastigirl -- no substitute for Giganta if that's what you're thinking, unless you are going to try to do a custom (maybe a JLU-style one?). She's really just useful if you like/have the other Doom Patrol members.

I have fond memories of the Giganta wave because every Wave was tough to find EXCEPT the Giganta one. I never saw Batman Beyond in stores. Only found a few of the Metallo figures. It took me 3 months to find Barda, I had to buy Wildcat, Black Canary, Green Arrow, and Mantis on ebay. It was not until Wave 11 that I started to just preorder the cases at BBTS.
However, I walked into Target one day and they had the entire Giganta wave just sitting there are on the shelves. At first, I was going to only get a few of them, but decided I better get them all right then and there or possibly regret it later. Except for the Parademon and Mr T, I never saw any of them again on the shelves and then learned GG was short packed or something as people were unable to complete their Gigantas.

the problem was Gentlemen Ghost... He is the single most expensive figure I paid 115$ for him on Ebay. Most of the rest are easy to find but for some Reason Mattel did not ship enough Gentlemen Ghost to any stores anywhere he came with a 1 inch Atom Mini Figure and Head and crotch peices (lack of a better term) of the Oversized/Collect & Connect Gigantia (check wiki or hall of justice wikia). Although GG came out in 2 pack with Hawkgirl you didnt get C&C peices

^ I remember hearing that there were some quality control issues with Gentleman Ghost, specifically with his hat and monocle attaching to his collar. Not sure if it was ever confirmed or not, but makes sense.
Giganta was one of my most wanted figures, from any line, for a while. I eventually broke down and ended up buying her off eBay for $92 plus shipping. Not a bad deal, IMO. I am very happy with her, though, and feel she was completely worth it. |

I cannot wait to see Fire, I wish Ice was a bit more certain. Did anyone else in the club get 2 shipping notices this month?
The issue might be the connection point of Hat and Monicle. The Monicle is tiny and clear attached by less then 1 inch

They could even take the new Superboy/ Conner Kent and use the same body with the Max Lord head to make a Checkmate Era Max Lord. I also would not mind a Clear Green "Nude" version of Fire using her powers. Which could also be easily done. Last edited by Phantomcrow; 08-15-2013 at 01:56 PM.. |

That will never happen. Just look at what happened to Cheetah and they never bothered to give us the fixed one without the stupid looking painted on clothes.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Universe-...item51b02d4923 All they have to do is take the Dove figure body that is completely plain and put the Fire head on it and mold it in clear green plastic, done and done. Hell, I may do it myself and just paint her to look like the comics had to print her. But I am notorious among my friends for not finishing my customs :-/ |

the problem wasn't the molding or the production of Cheetah the problem was the nudity. In 99.9% of the time the figure sold in Toy departments next to toys young boys buy or even to young boys parents freaked even though her anatomy (trying to be clean) couldn't be seen

Green translucent plastic + Mattel = exploding crotch disease
I decided to redo my 30s/40s shelf since I am not keeping a Batman specific one right now: ![]()

2014 Club Infinite Earths:
DCU Damian Wayne is Coming Posted by Admin on August 16th, 2013 Toy Fans, We’ve been waiting patiently while all the logistics were worked out, and now we can finally spill some news about the 2014 DCU subscription! Because you demanded it, Club Infinite Earths has added Damian Wayne to the 2014 lineup! If the sub goes forward, the cancelled retail figure of Damian Wayne is set to join the most exciting group of figures we’ve ever offered. The son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul is scheduled to be the final figure released for the 2014 sub, joining an amazing lineup that so far includes Doomsday, ‘90s look Aquaman, Ice, and “Conner Kent” Superboy. But there’s a catch… all of this only happens if the 2014 DCU sub goes forward. We’ve only got until August 19 to make it happen so sign up for a 2014 Club Infinite Earths subscription today! –Matty |

Man, Green Exploding Crotch is the best kind right??? I would hope they would use a different method than on The Goddess for MOTU, But maybe being a smaller figure would not have the same stress issues in the crotch.

they should go with Beast Boy as the body but new head.
the best they could do was with the translucent Chemo. In standard figures Gentlemen Ghost and Deadman

we keep trying for new figures why does it seem on the Mattycollector boards people are begging for another Beast Boy, Zatanna, or 1980's Supergirl. I wish Scott would just say "Go to Ebay or Amazon, type DCUC wave 10 or 14 an you have them both." I hate to say this even though if the Subs go through, we will get two redo's, Mattel will think we want nothing but redo's.
Four things about your 30's/40's shelf Kain 1: Missing Superman 2: Missing Wonder Woman 3: Missing Hawkgirl 4: Mary Marvel Wore Red until 1994 then she was switched by Ordway to distinguish her from Billy.

Same as #1. 3. My book says she came out in the 90s. 4. I have the white one and she is the same character to me. Also, the 70s is my favorite era of DC, so for the most part, I go with that as my default outside of the New Teen Titans from the 80s. Nevertheless, the 70s were the best because you had greats like Len Wein, Neal Adams, Denny O'Neil, and Dick Giordanno working for them. I would love Changeling and a Perez version of Starfire, but those were something that should have been done when there was a retail line. Or maybe they should do a NTT pack at SDCC next year. Of course, it matters not, the line is ****ed. I've decided I'm going to sub because I do want Damian and Ice, and after putting my shelves in mostly year order, I do want 90s Aquaman on there, but... it's over Jim.

The 70's was the legends Siegel, Binder, Beck, and others passing the torch to the guys that would cause the Implosion

Hawkgirl has had several versions I know the DC encyclopedia says 1990 theres been at least 3 one from 1940's Shiera Saunders she appeared in Flash (predates Wonder Woman). The 2 is from the 1960's known as Hawkwoman. The 3rd is Shayera Hal they are just reincarnated versions of each other

Please subscribe to Club Infinite Earths. There is no more DC Universe Classics, Batman Unlimited, DC Unlimited. We are not going to get anything close to this in Mattel form. All we are getting is the kiddy 6" crap and the 4" stuff (4" seriously? everything is 3.75 inches). If Club Infinite Earths doesn't go down, say bye to this style of figures. Do we want to live in a world with no DCUC style figures?
