What the DCIE/SS needs to do is have fan votes, to see what characters people want. They better do a pre-order for Doomsday though, I think they owe it to the fans. Then release 4/6 figures a year or something of figures we need to complete teams. Forget the sub. Also none of this "day of sale crap". Just keep the figure up until ALL the stock is gone.

technically they owe us both Doomsday version, Aquaman 90's, Ice, Superboy, and Robin they showed we payed weather or not it went through doesn't matter if 63% thats a huge number that wanted them. If they don't they will lose most of their customer base. What a lot of people do not realize is that 61% could some huge number, since Mattel wont release the number we don't know how many, and if they lose that there is no getting it back. Fans will complain to DC (good luck on that end Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, and Dan Dido are class A morons) before you know Mattel gets stuck in a Bigger no win eventually either they produce or the License goes away. I know many of you want Hasbro to get it but the issue there is another company even bigger and more evil....DISNEY

Guess it's more of "Sense of Entitlement" than actually being entitled to it.

Also, the last part... you do know that DC is owned by Time/Warner, right? I doubt there would be any way they would license one of their properties to a rival company for production. Which makes no sense in the first place since Disney isn't a toy company. And, you know, the whole "DISNEY = EVIL" thing. Besides, I thought you were dropping this site like it's hot? "This log in is closed as of 1pm 8/21/13," "No further reviews will be posted here due to the lack of Support on this page of Mattel DC line I will not be reviewing any more figures," etc? |

I still want the figures they showed and DCC is not an option for me thats starting over from scratch. I still want Mattel to produce them and will buy them no matter the cost and I will go for all be it 13, 12, 6, 5, or 4. I still will collect and want them and have no interest in any other companies figures. Many others who subbed or even didn't will want the figures and Mattel will look to their Customers more so now then before. Now I get many of you do not feel obligated to buy, I still will buy them so drop the obligation stuff I want the figures and that's all there is to it the same as you want Marvel Legends, Transformers, Star Wars, or even DC Collectables if they do not continue to produce them I will buy the rest of the DCUC, DCSH, and DCAS lines it's my money how I spend it is up to me not you. I will say if any of the above did a Sub lines I would buy so you guys could get them then shove them on Amazon or Ebay.
I calmed a lot and feel better about the loss but if you want to know about the figures buy them and make your own decision I will not review due to the lack of interest its just why review something if people do not wish to know about them (I am not saying any more about it) and not buying due to cost is a lack of interest, if you really wanted them the price would have meant nothing. Yes I do know Disney does not own DC my statement is reflective of the Disney ownership of Marvel comics that means that Hasbro is also working for Disney you wont see DC a Warner Brothers company sell their right to someone working for/with the the competition while yes DC and Marvel operate in NYC and at Comic Cons you will never see either be involved with a company producing a Licensed Trademark Likeness at the same time, before you say Lego, Lego doesn't make an exact Likeness the make their Mini figures represent their traditional look in a Traditional Lego way thats not stepping on eithers appearances. So it's not likely another company will get the likeness unless the contracts are not renewed. By the way Disney has its own lines Disney Princess, Disney Faries, Neverland Pirates, Pirates of the Caribbean , and etc these produce toy lines so Disney has it's own line just walk into the Disney store and you will even see Marvel figures there on the shelves or go to a park and you'll see thousands of souvineers items from Star wars to avatar, from Disney princess to Marvel Comics

I remember very well the years that Marvel Legends went away. They came back after a break and I think that is what needs to happen here with DC figures. Marvel Legends have come back, even with the distribution problems, I am still happy with them. DC filled the hole of no Marvel figures, now that Marvel is back we can have a break.
Lets just get back to talking toys and not the business practices of toy companies so much. |

The problem is this thread is about a line that's basically not going to be around after January 1st because of the companies poor business practices so this thread is going to die with it as will most DCSH, DCUC, DCAS, DCUL, BUL, and most certainly CIE threads. Before you say go to another line Forget it there is no other line that interests me.

I like how everybody pretends that ML came back and was exactly the same as before it went away. There's a discernible difference between the Toybiz run and the pre-crash Hasbro waves. Changes in plastic feel, lost articulation, dropped pack-in extras, etc...and then when it came back it was pretty clearly random modern/movie stuff versus iconic silver age designs of the Toybiz years. What's the oldest costume they've done this time around, the 1990s Jean Grey? If DCUC/DCIE goes on hiatus, it's a forgone conclusion that it won't start back up where it left off. They'll change the articulation or design studio and then who'll really care that it's back?

OH, I know there were differences from Toy Biz to Hasbro, Believe me. I was just saying that I don't mind a break. Stuff like Transformers and GI Joe seem to always have stuff out and my wallet can use a break from new product.

if/when it comes back we go back to One so that means Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc with repeat C&C's if they do them which means Mattel goes back to the same sinking ship so the figures many of you really want become less and less likely every reboot

And I wish he were a Hasbro Marvel Legends Nightcrawler. He just feels... too fiddly. I love the sheer amount of articulation he has, but at the same time it costs him some stability as a figure. It doesn't help that I can't get him to hold a single sword accessory I own. I mean, yeah, it's all open to personal taste, but I think the ML figures improved a bit. Now if only they'd release more characters I wanted... |

Just because the club didn't go through doesn't mean that the people who paid don't want them. You said you don't collect them so I pose this question to you if Tranformers said tomorrow we're going to stop producing items does that mean automatically you no longer want them? No. A healthy Majority of people who did buy into the club and some who didn't still want figures and would pay for them and that's reason enough for Mattel to make them "If you build it they will come." thats not this Obligation you harp on it's wanting something you like and willing to pay for it. Heck if people said "They aren't going to make them then I'll never buy anything put out again we'd all be running around naked, starving to death."

So you'd be fine with Nicolas Cage, then?

And to answer your question, yes I would be very upset if Hasbro stopped making Transformers. But I won't demand that Hasbro keep making them just because I want them.

Well nobody wanted Val Kilmer and now we get Mr. Garner *lol*
what I'm saying is the Number who want the DC figures is by no means 1 person (without Mattel releasing what percentage point perperson who subbed) it could be thousands if the demand is high they will see $$ and supply. Plus if they just kill the whole line they will lose what DC customer base they still have which does bring in new business I killed my review thread because of two reasons. 1) there is a lack of interest in the line i was wasting my and everyone else time. 2) If there is nothing new coming then there is nothing to show
