I was actually going to give him until tomorrow since that is what the listing specified, so I was quite pleased to see he shipped it last night. Hopefully he will arrive tomorrow.

I'm willing to bet that the production Conner is going to have the same stuck waist. I bought two off of ebay and both had glued/stuck waist, but I was able to fix both. The reason I'm guessing on the main production one being the same is I had the same problem with the Ice figure that I bought off ebay, and the one that I bought from Matty Collector was stuck the same way.
I would hope Mattel's quality control would be better than that, but maybe they aren't very concerned with the end of this line... |

Who knows man, but it does seem like there isn't much investment in what's left of this line....by either Mattel or we fans..... About Lantern/Riddler, apparently a South American company named Pacipa (later changed to Playful) acquired the "Superfiends" license years ago and made these figures. The "Super-Amigos" (hilarious) were sold in parts of South America. I actually remember seeing some of these in NYC bodegas when I was a teen. At the time, I just thought they were funny knock-offs or bootlegs. I wish I had bought one because now people pay top dollar for these things. Looks like Mattel is paying homage to this bit of "Superfriend" history. If you look closely, you can see that they emulated the F'd-up paint app and all! The character's name was “El Acertijo." I've got some "Figure Sleuth" in my wheelhouse too! Maybe I can be your sidekick! LOL |

I'm considering getting a Batman figure from the Arkham games' series of figures. Does anyone else think the Arkham Knight Batman's head is a tad small (is that because it's a prototype?), or what other Batman figures from these series are worth it? Note: I'm a stand and shelf type of collector, so I'm more concerned with it looking good over having a lot of articulation. I'd appreciate some feedback from fellow arkers.

I'm not certain one can ever be sure of what others know or don't know. For example..did you think I was promoting purchase of this fig?!?! I would think "F'd up paint app" would be enough of a hint as to what my overall impression was... I'm no sycophant for Mattel, but I do see what they were going for (however misguided that may be in my opinion). As much as I might not be interested in this portion (or the entire line-up for that matter) of their "Superpowers" offerings, maybe there is someone in South America that will do back flips when they see “El Acertijo"....or maybe not. As it pertains to letting Mattel get away with something, what can you really do other than choose not to buy? Sometimes, as fans we forget that we are just that...."fans." No more, no less. I'm guilty of it (TH anyone? HAH!)...many of us are guilty. In our fandom we think we have "ownership." Fans complain about Dante being re-tooled in Devil May Cry...Fans complain about Johnny Storm being African-American in the FF...or Heimdall...or Kingpin (I'm black and this irks me - what a waste of the late Michael Clarke-Duncan he could have been a great Luke Cage)...Fans of Game of Thrones complain about Lady Stoneheart not making it into this last season (or potentially, not at all in any season). I know, as a fan of many things, I can sometimes forget to sit back and try to enjoy "wherever" this "thing" I'm a fan of is going to take me. Ultimately, I'm not in creative control of "whatever" it is...be it games, movies, or toylines. That said...if I don't like it, it won't get my money...which is really my most powerful recourse. Your 100% about this the best way to show Mattel you do not like what they are doing is not to spend your money... They cancelled the 4H DC stuff who really lost? The Fans or Mattel... If you look at Mattels Quarterly report(s) this year the company is hemoraging money. While the loss is not all action figure that division is hurting the most since Hasbro is showing growth in that area.

How so? I'm quite satisfied with mine. His size is amazing. The amount of detail rocks. His articulation kicks ass. He is just so damn awesome.
Or do you just not like him because he isn't the Unleashed version?

I think I am most disappointed in the fact that we could get something that indicates what the Beast really is have the Tarps torn or something either on a hand or around the head. I will say for being a Kilowog buck Figure the articulation is better then Kilowog

Yeah, I guess it would have been cool to have at least a hand with the spikes ripping through the costume, but we know what we were going to get for a year now.

I think the worst I have heard is Associated with the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Movie... I admit I complained about Affleck only because he already messed up Daredevil but that was over a decade ago so. I am willing to Play the wait and see. Now People are complaining about Gal Gadot Wonder Woman. To them I say was Linda Carter as defined. What do they want? An ESPN Female Bodybuilder (Honestly I find those women disgusting, I do not see why a Woman with Arms bigger then my thighs is sexy.) As it is they have no clue what the Amazons really were. Their Society was a Matriarch when the girls hit Puberty they typically had one or both breasts removed as a part of their Warrior training. In addition they never saw an Original Wonder Woman comic so they fail to realize that Diana was not Muscular in 1940 so they go off stories they think they know but really don't.

That's what I was getting at man...none of us "own" these creative expressions. No matter how much of a fan I become, I can't define the parameters of expression or present myself as the final arbiter. Don't get me wrong, if you think something sucks then voice your opinion. I complain about a lot of shit, but the complaint that is heard the loudest....is my keeping my wallet closed. Funny thing about Bat V Supes, I think Gal looks pretty hot as Wonder Woman (I still have a crush on Linda Carter, but that's childhood a nostalgia thing). I honestly prefer animated superhero flicks to live action films. You don't have to worry about budget or casting and everyone looks (and hopefully sounds) as they should. Unfortunately, animation is not as respected here (in comparison to say Japan) as a viable outlet to tell meaningful stories. But none of that really matters, because I'd seem pretty foolish dismissing all live action "cape" flicks (although I haven't seen one in the theater since First Class). |

2. Batman shouldn't even be in this movie. How about we actually, I don't know, DEVELOP OUR FREAKING CHARACTERS FIRST?! Superman should have at least one more movie to himself FIRST!! Wonder Woman should have her own movie. THEN you can do a movie that features the three heroes by reintroducing Batman in the trinity movie. Afterwards, THEN MAYBE they can do Justice League. 3. I hate Linda Carter's Wonder Woman. I also hate Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. She is too short for the role. High heels can only fix so much. I don't expect Wonder Woman to look butch, but I want her to not look like she just walked out of the Victoria's Secret catalog. I want her to look like she actually eats and works out. Not some skimpy little tramp that looks like her body was photoshopped for an internet dating site. 4. DC made a dumb ass move by not putting Man of Steel into the Arrow universe. DC has some of the best live action shows going on right now and they could easily use the shows to develop their movies. The shows should be the every day comic while the movies are like the big mega event and movies to introduce other characters that wouldn't fit directly into the TV series. 5. DC obviously has no idea on how to make a good movie as they couldn't even get Jonah HEx right. All they had to do was copy any god damn western movie out there and they would have had one of the best comic book movies of all time. Instead, they made a movie that used the name of characters from Jonah Hex movie instead of making a Jonah Hex movie. Right now: Marvel movies > DC movies Marvel TV shows < DC TV shows Marvel toons < DC toons

I don't have any of them. I've heard/read the small head complaint for all of them. Ultimately I think it comes down to which suit you prefer. A lot of people seem to like the Origins suit. Though personally I prefer the Arkham Knight design.

The small head seems only for the Knight figure so far. Origins and Asylum (reused for City) have fairly normal sized looking heads. I would get the Origins figure, but nobody has it in stock right now for fair price.
Also Dr Kain watch the language, this is a safe place.
