I was not expecting this to arrive today, but I ain't complaining either!

I'd never taken a photo of prison suit DD prior to today. I'd like to say that's because I was confident that Unleashed DD would come out (which I actually was), but the real reason was I'd never gotten around to it.

A little too big (as was prison suit/funeral shroud DD), but I'll take too big over too little (cue obligatory pre-teen juvenile/sophomoric humor..."that's what she..." whatever).

I like the dark humor found on the packaging. As if we needed them to print "FINAL FIGURE" on the box. Ok Mattel, I get it...you are tired of my money. The joke, in the end, may be on them....

Speaking of packaging.....there was way too much of it for this fig.

I agree. I think Mattel will eventually get back to making 6 inch scale comics-style figures. It may take them a while but eventually they will get their heads out of their butts. Marvel Legends came back twice.

I predict about the time Dawn of Justice comes out. Mattel will be backed into a corner and either do 6 inch figures or possibly lose rights. One of the things keeping Marvel Legends afloat is movie tie in's if Mattel doesn't then they are just letting opportunity slip away. This is Mattel intelligent manauvers as of late seem to be nonexistent or lacking, these are the people who want to sell MOTU mini figures at $25 for a 2 pack.

After receiving my Doomsday Unleashed and developing an appreciation for the figure (me likes!), the appeal of my Bound Doomsday has deepened exponentially. I'm not suggesting that I didn't like Bound DD from the start, but I'm quite happy with the two as a set. While I fully understand the grousing that went on when we were all under the impression that Bound DD would be the only offering, I'm very happy I didn't blink when it came to acquiring the figure...both are stellar sculpts!

I'm actually more pissed that I got tricked into buying the Containment Suit one now than I was before. I should have known better.

Well that's unfortunate, you and I disagree on the matter. However, you could always sell it. I'm sure there is a sucker...err, I mean taker out there somewhere....joking, I actually think you would be able to offload it pretty quickly.

On a related note, I bet the Bound DD ends up selling for more on eBay (and other sites) eventually. The whole variant phenomenon effect can sometimes create unexpected circumstances...

I am not overly disappointed I just wish we could get some In Between the Bound and Unleashed... Bound Doomsday ko'd Guy Gardner, Unleashed Killed Superman. I'd like to see the In Between Tarps Ripped and some Bone Sticking out basically how he looked fighting the Justice League. I'd also like to see the Naked Doomsday (how he looked on Krypton, when he faced the Green Lanterns, and Darkseid)

Hahaaha! I hear you, man! I see the appeal of a battle damaged, or transitional funeral shroud (suit). However, I'll pass on a naked Doomsday.....I like the character, but not that much!

I knew what you were talking about. I was just messing around and being silly about not wanting to see Doomsday in his birthday suit.....if I recall the illustrations correctly, he doesn't even have "privates"...so seeing him in the buck isn't immodest or inappropriate.

no more then wanting naked Cheetah (which is out there) or Transparent Green Fire. The creature doesn't need to Eat, Drink, or Breath so Breeding would be out too

We can stop hoping that Mattel will lose the DC rights. There is good news though, the deal resigned with has a must produce clause in it for both Dawn of Justice and Justice League as well as possibly Gotham, Arrow, and The Flash. So like I said 6' DC might not yet be dead. And I am not talking about the dying Total Heroes line either.

DCUC is basically over in 5 days.
