I like what DC Comics is doing but I still like Mattel figs better. Who knows...we'll just have to wait for now.

That's a very weird mindset to me. We see it often where a line ends, even after a good run, and collectors just say "oh well, time to sell". Seems to indicate that they never really cared much about having the figures but really just like acquiring things.

The new stuff DC direct or collectables now is putting out looks nice and have grabbed a few pieces but still always have enjoyed Mattel's offerings
You touched a good point, I don't think I'd had half the stuff I do if I didn't have the support from my wife and kids. I'm glad we all collect and have very similar interest in figures. I'm sure that has a lot to do with some collectors not getting everything they want.

Yeah, to me it makes it more valuable once it's no longer available but to each its own.

And its great we can share those interests with our children. Its fun when we go to conventions and find figures we were searching for or just figures we hadn't seen before. Sure it was exciting back when I was collecting on my own but to see their eyes light up I don't know it feels so rewarding.

It looks like I'll be getting an extra Tomar Re GL in a small lot of Lantern figures I bought off of eBay. Has anyone tried making their own Green Lantern custom?

I have bought some extras with the intention of doing so but have never gotten around to it. Kind of lost the drive on my whole collection and customs lately.

The great thing is you can pretty much slap anything on the main body that you want to and call it a Lantern from somewhere. I saw a video once of a guy who did that and simply repainted a bunch of figures into his Corps. He had the giant reptile bird (name escapes me) from Avatar painted up as a GL and hanging from the ceiling as part of his display.

So you only have shelves in that room with just toys??? you have nothing else in there? no desk or computer or futon nada? lol i thought i was bad with a room full of comics, toys, etc.

You need to make a collection thread, i'd like to see what you have loose as well.

Lol, yes that's all I have in that room. I had another room (not as full as this one) with WWE, GI Joe, Toy story, UFC, MK and extra Marvel & DC stuff but I was able to store all that in those huge plastic bins and put them in my storage room. It was getting out of hand and I had boxes everywhere in both rooms. I finally cleaned it so that's why I am able to take pictures again!

I made this Superman a couple of months ago and forgot to share. I'm not completely satisfied with it, but thought I would share anyway.

Lol...I noticed they're getting harder to find now. I've only seen a couple of listings on eBay but very expensive.
