If I remember right, Steel is being rereleased in one of the up and coming waves in DC All-Stars. If he is, it better be the chrome version!

If you're talking about the dead one, than fuck yeah! I've got the zombie Batman from that line and it is amazing. Not very articulated, but it looks great.

I decided to sell my Costco sized Killer Croc. If anyone is interested I'm letting him go for $40 (I paid $30, and it'll take at least $10 to ship his big ass).

Yes and yes. I know that is a hell of a deal, but I will warn you that some of his scales are scuffed.

After seeing that pic I just imagine the DCD AC Killer Crock Standing where your Crock is. Ohh are you selling your crock and replacing him with the DCD AC one?

I like both. This one is a gigantic representation of the same mold as the DCSH one, and I really like it, but I want to free up space. The DCD one coming out is cool too, but I'm probably not going to get it. I'll get Freeze, but thats it.

You should get him. He will be one of the harder ones to find after his release but if found at major price increase.

I saw the whole Neckron wave today, very impressive.
I don't collect DC, but I might pick up the wave. Really dig Red and Green Arrows, Reverse Flash, GL and Neckron. Also a heads up for the DC collectors. I seem to remember an Arker looking for Jemm. I saw one today for $7 at Ross. If that person sees this and still needs it let me know. |

Just got the BAF Nekron wave. Man I wish this line had more body bucks to choose from. Disappointing when you realize most of the unique parts per sculpt are just the heads.
Anways, all great quality except for a stuck hip on Dove(later freed after shoving her in the freezer for a few minutes), and a warped forearm on Flash(which can be fixed). Reverse Flash and Sinestro show how plastic accents should be done. Mattel does yellow plastic right with subtle weathered tones, whereas Hasbro uses yellow paint accent apps that look like cheese wiz.

Mattel does yellow plastic right with subtle weathered tones, whereas Hasbro uses yellow paint accent apps that look like cheese wiz. Once in a while, they do totally new bucks for obscure body types like the Parademons. I would have liked it if they did this for the Golden Age Atom, but oh well. Anyway, the main reason I like it is because the sculpts are already perfectly proportioned. I rarely think "This Batman would be perfect if he was more muscular or less muscular." That's the thing I find with Marvel Legends, the bucks are seemingly mostly unique and so it gets kind of inconsistent. I totally agree with you about Hasbro's paint apps. That and I'm not a big fan of all the overwashing they do. A lot of figures that I've seen actually look like OK looking customs with a very inexperienced hand painted look. Some of the sculpts are downright hideous. And the gorilla arms on some of the figures really bother me. The paint apps on both of the Mattel lines that I collect are perfect. You don't see the paint lines because they blend together perfectly. It's subtle but it's there. With ML and even MU, you can see all the streaks and crusty paints. It just looks dirty. I'm sure a lot of people like this, but I do not. That whole McFarlane era of toys that look like the paint is going to flake or rub off if I sneeze at it has lost it's delicate charm. Mattel = Knows the techniques, uses them sparingly and skillfully. Hasbro = Knows the techniques, doesn't really know how to use them and has never learned the concept of less is more. |

I actually like the reused bucks. The sculpts are already excellent and very few figures need different body types. So far, excluding the CnC sizes, the body types appear to be at least Large Tall Male (Superman, Batman), Medium Tall Male (Animal Man, the Flash), Suited (Two-Face/The Question/The Joker) Thin Tall Male (Sinestro), Thin Tall Woman (Wonder Woman), Thin Average Woman (Zatanna), Medium Average Male (Dick Grayson Robin), Teen Woman (Donna), Teen Male (Beast Boy, Kid Flash) which pretty much meets all the average body types of the DC Universe.
