I really hope somebody like Figma can get the rights to these characters. These look good but not great.

Considering these cost 1/4th of the price that figma would charge I’d gladly rather diamond keeps the license/Rights.

The property pretty much ceased after that on all fronts.
The property has a sequel series "The Legend of Korra" and both series has an ongoing comic from Dark Horse comics. Several books have been published as well.

Wasn't counting Korra stuff. And was talking about movies or products on the OG series. Aka this kind of thing.

That being said, the Netflix stuff is promising.

There has also been a popular, ongoing series of ATLA comics since the show ended.

I hope we get some of the other Avatars and some villains out of this line. A Korra Nendoroid does exist, which gives me hope Good Smile Company/Max Factory could make Figmas atbsome point.

An Avatar State variant is nearly a necessity, though.

I'm just happy we're getting Avatar figures that aren't awful.

Anyone hear any news of a Wave 2? Maybe with Toph, Sokka, and Azula???

^ Same here... Toph is my fav... the show got so much better when she joined up with them. I was actually considering buying the Toph Funko Pop just to have her represented on my shelf, but I think I can hold off now since I bet there will be more characters announced for the The Last Airbender Select figs.

Figma has the rights though and refuses to use them. They released the Korra nenoroid and most likely it under performed so they didn't see the point of releasing figmas. I think a figma for atla and/or lok would actually do much better than nenoroids though.

These look decent, but I don't care much for the 7 inch scale myself personally. I'd rather have them a bit smaller, but all things considered I might pick these up anyway if I can find them out in the wild.

I think those look amazing, but shouldn't he come with some kind of whirlwind accessory too?

Also makes no sense they went with the book 1 look for Katara while giving us book 3 Aang and Zuko.

Saw Katara and Zuko at Walgreens... IDK... just didn't like the look of them in person... they look nicer in photos IMO. Unlike the Tron ones which I think look good enough in hand... maybe the Tron colors being more subdued has something to do with it.

The deluxe versions don't include the basic accessories too?

No, those are specific to the Walgreens sets I think.

This is the worst thing to happen to Avatar since M. Night Shyamalan.

Saw the deluxe versions at Box Lunch for only $18.90 each... the accessories and the packaging is so much better than the Walgreens version and not that more expensive either.
