Looks great but I definitely would have held off on the 1st release Batmobile (and Batman and Robin) had I known this was coming. That sucks.

I haven't been able to pull the trigger on any of these yet, so this works out well for me. I'm terrified about the price though.... |

Actually a Bat-signal set with Montoya and Bullock would be better since we're already getting Gordon on his own but I don't think either of them could warrant their own individual release.

I am a bit ticked by this. I have the batmobile and about a dozen figures in my pile of loot at bbts. I was slow to this line because of the breakage issues with the first series. This was the most excited I have been from a toy fair reveal in a decade when this series was shown.....but what the heck are those of us that bought this already supposed to do now? Kind of feels like a bit of a slap.

I think almost anyone who already has the Batmobile might have just preferred a slight delay to get this better version out instead.

Uncool for those of us who already on the mobile. I do like the more muted single release better though.

well i saw a batman and mask of the phantasm set reviewed , and bats only comes with a couple of swap-able hands and a batarang so this set could be it with barely and accessories so you may bought the single carded figures with those accessories , its something to consider unless accessories doesn't bother you.

Those cloth capes won't look good unless they're both in the car. A cloth cape on a toy of something that was real (like on Darth Vader or something) works but on something that was a cartoon it just looks foreign.

I don't know how you can't like cloth capes, yes some can look bad. But hard plastic or soft vinyl sucks!

I dunno. For me it really does depend on what the toy is representing. I always prefer Darth Vader with cloth but I lean towards plastics for Batman (unless it were based on a movie but I only have comic/cartoon/game Batman toys). Like I said above, if it's based on a real, tangible costume then I prefer cloth but if it's based on a comic, cartoon, or game then I usually feel that the plastic/vinyl cape is more true to the source. Then again I saw the NECA Arthas figure and I think he looks terrific with a cloth cape. Using a recent pickup as an example I think the Phantasm's cape would have come out poorly in cloth.

I loved the cloth cape on the Kenner figures. That's partly why I'm buying them again now in addition to the DCC line.

I've been debating about getting into this line as I have too many lines going but this sold it. Can't wait for this one to come out! |
