Well... I *definately* want that Steel. I don't have a Hawkman, so I can take that. Batman is worthless. And hear's hoping Batgirl is someone other than Barbara Gordon. But doubtful it is. However, all I have is the silverage Batgirl and could use a better one. So, I guess this wave is decent. If Bagirl turns out to be Stephanie or Cassandra, then it'll be epic!

We knew this was going to happen. They said that All Stars would be a line that featured more mainstream characters and just the odd time would it feature some more obscure characters that you have to be real DC fanatics to know. I do hope that this Batgirl is going to be Stephanie Brown since we already got Barbara Gordon in two flavours (and I have both versions) and we have had Cassandra Cain albeit she is now difficult to find, she still exists for the hardcore fans that want her. If we don't get Brown now, we may never get a Brown. If this is a different Hawkman, it would be nice, but I'm guessing it's the same one we always got. Kingdom Come Hawkman was feral looking and would be an awesome take. Steel, well I already got him but good for those that don't have the guy. He's essential to any Superman grouping, IMO.

Looking at BBTS's listing for wave 2, they have the New 52 ones listed as (JLA). So if they were consistent, then this is New 52 Batman only. Hawkman is bound to be something more modern (since we got the old-school version in wave 19 and a "classic" version in wave 6), but not necessarily New 52. Probably will be like the DC Direct one pictured above. We're already pretty sure Steel is a re-release of the DCSH one. Batgirl. . .that'll be interesting. Either Stephanie Brown (just blonde hair on the existing Babs head sculpt) or New 52 Batgirl (it would be kinda fitting to put them together in the same wave).

I know it says "JLA" but I believe this is New 52 Batman. These keeps pace with new 52 Flash and Superman from wave 2. While worthless to you perhaps, this is among my most sought after figures of 2012 especially after the wonderful court of owls story arc.

I have all those. If there is a different Batgirl and it the new 52 Hawkaman then I will bite. Now if the Batman is the new 52 Awesome. I don't need another Steel but if its the Chrome version I will get it.

Hmm. Why didn't Mattel show the new 52 Batman at TF? Could it be they're hesitant after the lukewarm reception that Superman (with the buck that's WAY too big for a younger Superman) and the Flash (not bad except for the yellow highlights) got when those pics were released? I'm going to buy the Batman, as I collect Batman and his rogues primarily. But if Superman were smaller and Barry lost those lines, I'd buy these instead of the DCD ones, which will be released, what, in 2013?! |

I'm confused about your Superman comment though. What do you mean the buck is way too big for a younger Superman? Are you referring to the one in action comics (who is very much a kid) or the one from Justice League who is much older?

If I accidentally insulted you because I don't want a figure out of a wave, then I'm sorry. :P I just thought it was worthless to you because it was an older Batman. That's why I pointed out that I believed it to be new 52, even its clear to me now that it doesn't change your need or desire for it. I don't own any 6" figures from DC at all yet. So this will make a good acquisition for me.

I don't need yet another Barry Allen, and the new 52 outfit doesn't really bring anything new to the table, like the Blue Lantern, or White Lantern do. I would only really be interested in these if mattel promised they'd do the entire New 52 JLA. All seven of them. They'd work for me if I didn't already have a representation of the character, though. (Such as Hawkman. Reissue or New 52, I don't have the characetr yet, and I seriously did not like that ugly head on the JSA version. So either is acceptible, as both are cheaper than trying to get the first release)

				 | Quote: Right. The New 52 means almost nothing to me. I haven't read anything from it, and can't afford to. I've got a Batman that represents his trademark look, and I've got the Sinestro Corps Batman. And stuck with the black costume, and the cheesy Adam Westy legacy Batman, neither of which do anything or serve any purpose to me. | Quote: Either way, it's Mattel. You never can tell what they may do. They seem to get easily distracted by shiny objects. Even without being announced, I'd be confident that Batman, Superman, Flash, and Wonderwoman would get made. Wonderwoman would probably be one of the last. Green Lantern, Mattel may be starting to back away from for a while, after the movie glut (And with new atention on Batman). Also, his costume is relatively the same. And there's only so many times you can release the exact same toy. Aquaman is starting to get into unpopular territory, and Cyborg is one of those C-Listers they say they're going to start to shy away from. I'm not nessisarily big on "sets," but the New 52 doesn't do much for me without an entire set.

Yeah, they'll probably do them all, eventually. But look at how long it took them to do the Big 7 in DCUC. Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash, Wonder Woman -- if that's your 7, it took 7 waves. Or go with the JLU Big 7 and it took 15 waves (Martian Manhunter). I won't be buying any of the New 52. Gotta save my money for the CIE figures. Besides, I'm already starting to cave a little on my "line in the sand" about not getting the rainbow lanterns. . .I caved and bought wave 20 Sinestro last night. . . |

CJ I'm with you, buddy. I have no desire for anything outside of just building the new 52 JL to go alongside my Avengers Assemble team. If these were available for DC in 3.75" with MU articulation...you and I wouldn't even be having this conversation lol.
