On my day off I was out paying bills doing some window shopping. stopped into my local Walmart and Zellers. Looking to see some new MU or Iron man 2 figures and did not... but I did see some Tron Merchandise, the white light cycle for round $17-20, the 3 3/4'' figures for round $10, the 6-7'' for just under $20 and the large 12'' for $50. I picked up a Sam Flynn 6'' figure and was iimpressed, the light projection face is amazing and creepy all at the same time, accessories are good, the disc takes a little effort to be placed in the hands but the likeness is dead on. The 12'' was awesome just can't justify the $50 pricetag... maybe after x-mas.. I didn't really enjoy the 4'' figures/ cheap light up effect... but the 6'' are nice I may have to get the rest... anybody else pick some up? also the head doesn't move from what I've read...

It's going to be hard to gauge success until after the movie comes out. Once kids can make an association between toy and character, then we'll know if the line has any real staying power beyond the initial wave or two.

I saw a Quorra at Target two nights ago, and when I checked the following day after I grabbed the Tron: Legacy soundtrack, it was gone.

They're moving slowly but surely from there, and there's only one 8 incher at the Walmart.

I've seen most of the merch locally... as they are from Disney... Anybody with a local Disney store could score w.e you like there or order online to recieve at their store... I like the toys... some more then others... the 6-7'' figures are nice heavy plastic, amazing light up feature.. the 12'' is the same as the 7'' but more figure and larger display more sayings.. the diecast cars are nice for the price, the vehicles for the 3 3/4'' are nice also but a bit pricey round me... $18+tax... I'd rather snag 2 marvel universe figures before it comes to that....

Aside from the die-cast vehicles, I've got very little interest in the Legacy stuff. I do like the light-up and holographic gimmicks, but I've heard enough issues with battery life (and broken gears) to make me wary. At this point, I'm content to fiddle with them at the store and leave them there.

I really do hope the movie and the toy line do well though. Mostly because it could be some retro Tron stuff might get done (like the original Light Cycles).

I have a couple of the smaller figures and they seem to be selling out around here with the bigger figures with the face gimmick going pretty slow.

They've made a Quorra? Haven't seen that one yet. Everything is shelfwarming here in Austin. 4 inches, 6 inches, doesn't seem to matter. I'm waiting untill after Christmas hopeing to catch the 4 inchers on clearance...$10 in that size is just unreasonable.

I was going to get the Zero-Gravity Light Cycle, but after seeing 2 video reviews on YouTube, I decided to pass, it didn't seem to the 0-Grav. thing all that well...

The vehicles look pretty cool, and would love to see them do retro Light Cycles!! In all, they don't seem to be moving much around Houston.

Is the movie out yet? I know most movie lines go on sale the week of and the week after they are released. I would hold off on picking any up before then.

Movie hasn't been released yet soon Dec 17th? I believe.. this Friday.. I like the toys but hard to justify the pricing.. $10 is a lot for the 3 3/4'' figures bout $18 for the 6'' and $50 for the 12''.. If they went as cheap as you guys get in the states then I would wait and buy more but doubt they will drop much for me....

I finally got around to getting a few. The core figures for sam, quorra, clu, and rinzler.

Not bad overall. I plan on getting both bikes too whenever they go on sale again.
I just gotta warn about one thing though. These guys use mostly translucent plastic on the bodies, and so you have to be careful with spots like the heads. the ball is only attached to half the torso anyway, so be careful with that.

I've gone through a clu and a quorra already and had to return em to get replacements, well, will be doing so with quorra tomorrow.

Sam seems constructed better and holds up even to head swaps. So he'll work great for the bike. Rinzler I'm not even going to try because of my luck with clu and quorra already. The Quorra headswap is a shame, but I hope that's because they have an unmasked one planned. I was just going to use an agent helix head.

Overall the figures themselves are neat, and fit in perfect with gi joe, mu, and so on. decent articulation, though some have cloth that hinder movement like Kevin flynn's robe, or quorra's skirt. Wish they glowed longer and they could store their disks, but at least the disk is already carved into the mold too.

The deluxes and higher size classes may not have the same issues. I haven't even gone near the target only inaction display figures. Some look neat with the cycles and vehicles.

The white cycle I will get eventually, and the black bike. I'm undecided about the flier right now though. They have one of the yellow core fliers out now too. I hope they make the white one. That'd be tempting. I'm skipping the light runner car though. It is kind of neat in a batman sort of way and would sit quorra and sam.

They are nice figures and lord knows they avioded the problems of the Avatar line. But, I don't know, I'm not going to get anything. There's just not enough appeal for me but that's just me...

All I want is the white Kevin Flynn Light Cycle, but I can wait until it goes on clearance. But this line is very stubborn... it is refusing to quickly go on clearance. LOL. The Prince of Persia stuff were clearanced the monday after the movie opened. LOL.

I've bought all of the four inch figures and vehicles, plus the eight inch figures as well. They are decent figures IMO, they have a somewhat "retro" feel to me for some reason.

I can post pics if there is any interest, let me know.
