Yup. This is what happens when you were the only horse in town for comic distribution and then started sending out damaged or poorly packaged comics and refuse returns. Diamond has had a direct hand in a couple of my LCS's having to close. Maybe whoever buys them won't be total #$%^s

Shame to lose the toys and statues. I really enjoyed some of those and the low barrier of entry for some really neat statues.

Like 'em or not it's (potentially) the end of an era I suppose. Maybe some of those business units will be salvaged.

Hopefully the "era" of the Comic Distribution illegal monopoly is over. Maybe now comic stores will gain access to other distribution channels and the strangle hold will be broken.

Hasbro Pulse Asia is being shut down. From what I saw on Reddit, the shipping from Pulse Asia was really expensive. But with Hasbro’s recent troubles, it’s possible that Hasbro Pulse in other regions may shut down as well. Time will tell.

Bummer about the toys, however. I'm not a huge Marvel Select collector but I'd been waiting for their sweet-looking Annihilus figure to drop forever and it's listed on Amazon for the end of this month. Dare I hope...?

Also, does this mean Minimates are doomed? I know they haven't been focusing on them as much in recent years but the D&D set with Warduke was great.

This couldn't happen to a more deserving "company." How's it feel, zach? After what dst did to us with Star Trek, I was just patiently waiting for their end. Good riddance. If anyone picks up the dropped ball, I hope they are at least competent and they keep those minimates things buried.

DST basically committed suicide because they decided to make products that most people didn't want while making very few products of something the majority of people actually wanted. For example if they want to make Star Wars products then fine, make Expanded Universe character busts and figures. Hasbro is in the same boat, producing unpopular trash along with slivers of the popular characters.
