It sucks but not unexpected. I had no idea how they thought they would continue releasing toys etc. I was shocked at business as usual.

That sucks.
I wonder if they'll still be able to release any final products? It seemed like Annihilus was just about ready to ship before the whole mess started.

Most of the things that just went up for pre-order would more understandably be flat out cancelled but yeah Annihilus was originally supposed to be out a couple of months ago so losing him too would sting. I've also got the Witch-King of Angmar on pre-order and he was allegedly about to release.

I have about 30 Select and Gentle Giant toys that I proudly display-very underrated line. Sad day for toy collectors.

So they've just been putting up one pre-order after another with zero intention to release them? LOL.

I doubt they knew they were all getting let go after the company sold. This literally just happened on Friday.

Sad news. Gentle Giant was a personal favorite. Collectors just saw their resale value jump in the secondary market. I missed a few pieces over the years due to high price point, but now I'll never be able to afford them.

Sincere sympathiy for everyone who lost their job. Stay positive. Have faith. These are strange, changing times.

Man, I hope that Annihilus gets released somehow, as you know he's already been produced. The old Hasbro BAF still holds up, but the Select version was next-level.

But overall, aside from Annihilus, I'm not bummed that DST has been shut down, aside from the unfortunate loss of jobs. I've never been a big fan of their overall output, aside from the occasional standout figure.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving company. It warms my heart that the toy division was all let go, especially that zach asshole. Good riddance. It would be interesting to see if NECA takes on any of the toys, though.

Yes, they are.

That zach character lied and tried to gaslight customers for YEARS. They got what they deserved.

I would love to see the evidence of that. He has been kind and generous to MANY people that I have personally, directly seen. Beyond that, wanting an entire toy company to go out of business is terrible on multiple levels, as both human and toy fan.

Awww, getting your little feelers hurt for others is so stunning and brave. Perhaps you should accept that it wasn't the same for everyone and leave it at that.

So you got nothing but internet tough guy attitude, and not even an explanation. Got it. I wish the same courtesy to you that you showed the workers of DST.

While I do appreciate the Ignore button, it's too bad we don't have a Block feature.

Anyway, what's the last dst item you bought? I got a 2008 Cylon Warrior from eBay a few months ago. The packaging was so nice, I left it sealed.

No, please. You were so adamant that they were disgusting and evil or whatever, until you were pressed on why you thought it right to call for celebration that people lost their jobs, consumers lost options, and fans lost toylines. Please, elaborate. Explain. Provide evidence.

Because not cool. At all.

But if you want to change to an actual productive topic, about thirty different Minimates from eBay in the last month for various creative projects.

dst incorrectly assembled their "HD Version" of the TOS Enterprise NCC-1701. Myself, and many others brought this to their attention. Very politely and friendly, I might add. zach came back with "nobody else complained about it" and there was "nothing wrong." He did this for YEARS, never corrected it, and tried to make everyone who brought it up come out as wrong. They just plain didn't want to fix it, or admit that they fucked up. Every single "HD Version" of the ship was manufactured incorrectly, for all of the time it was released and re-released. There is a laundry list, including their Battlestar Galactica figures, but there's really no point. @Navaan: Go fuck yourself.

See, there you go. You could have easily, just like there, explained that you were still frustrated over what you felt was a poor job and a company employee lying about said company, rather than getting mad at someone online.

I would argue that doesn't excuse wanting an entire company to go under, but, hey, do you, rack up that karma.

Still. Nice to see who is actually in their 'feelers.'

Message going on, DST pre-orders have now been officially cancelled, but there are a lot of questions on things that should have been in production, atm or recently.

At least I now know why they never showed off Hobgoblin on the glider, he was never real to begin with.
