Agreed! The hunt, than happy that once I have it, no need to hunt no more...The gas though is sometimes a killer :P But if I lived where I did a few months ago. Online is where it would be if I couldn't find it after 2 weeks. Traffic is just way too bad where I used live.

Instead of payng $7 to ship 1, I paid $10 to ship 5, well worth it in my eyes, and for $30 shipped, I got MU yellowjacket, blue pants variant thing, bulleseye dark blue variant, constrictor and cap series winter solider.
That's hilarious!!!

I think you pay more for toys online than you would if you were able to find them in the store.

I think the main reason people by toys online is because they can't always find what they're looking for at retail and they don't even want to worry about it.

You're paying for piece of mind.
While I don't know where "Parts Unknown" is, you're not taking into consideration distance. If you live in an area where you're pretty close to everything you need, a small city or a large town, then no, you're not saving anything on gas.
Those of us in rural areas however, which *still* makes up the majority of the country, it's a different story. I have a walmart within a 15 minute drive About 3 miles. The next closest place that sells toys (Another walmart) is 15 miles away. All the rest of my hunting grounds are 20-30 miles. I can easily drive almost a hundred miles in order to get every place I need/want to check.

And when gas is $3.50+ a gal. then yes, online shipping is most definately cheaper for myself, and people who're in simular situations.

I tend to think I'm more of a finder than a hunter. I go into hunting mode when a specific item comes out that I want to get. However, I limit my hunting to just a few miles as gas prices are quite high in my area.

The hunt is usually fun when I'm up to it. Though that only happens when an item I want has been spotted. Usually that involves Transformers for the most part. Best feeling in the world is when I stumble across something I'm not looking for.

I'm a hunter. The most I've hit in a single day was 7 targets, 4 TRU, 5 Walmarts and 2 Kmarts. several kb stores as well. That trip took me about 150 miles.
My current favorite run goes up rt 95 to portsmouth nh. 2 targets 4 walmarts and 2 tru in 75 miles.
i've given up on trying o go to all the TJmax/marshalls. there are more of them here then squirrels

I really don't get a thrill from hunting around here but I am glad that I am able to do it. Yesterday, I noticed a Star Wars figure and a Marvel Universe Absorbing Man with big , obvious paint defects. Getting to hold them in person allowed me to quickly pass on those two as there were better samples on the peg below. If a day comes where I have to order most of my items on-line, then I am sure I will adjust.

On your 150 mile trip, how much did you actually score? In a case like this the internet is your friend.
