Growing up, every winter kids looked forward to the Wishbook, a large catalougue from Sears, that has everything christmasy or "in" this season. And like always at the back they have a toy section and some of the pages at the front have some cool things, so I went through and took pics of all the toys for my fellow Canadians who haven't recieved it yet, and not sure if American's would get this or not or possibly a different 1.

First off for Marvel and Dc there's really nothing in there for toys, I did however spot this:

I did find this for us wanna be superhero cooks and cleaners

and there's a shotglass for after the work is done

now into Starwars

Almost life size r2d2

description and pricing

page 2

I do dig the lightsaber nightlight haha

StarWars Lego

This is kinda cool, reminded of the life size lego man post
It's a giant lego man head the opens up to store legos, or maybe customizing supplies

Transformers

Wrestling

Nintendo
figure set

Maybe some of these are new, I know I never heard of the captain america on bike before, but the rest I don't collect, so figure'd I'd let the rest of you know.

Well Sears is a Billion dollar company and Christmas is 1 of the most profitable times of the year for any company. It's kinda a sign that you know Christmas is coming soon, atleast for me it is. I figured fellow arkers could atleast checkout the selection.

Uh depends, usually you have to go to a Sears location and pick them up, but they're free, other then that, sometimes they do deliver them, same company that would deliver telephone books and possibly the weekend flyers.

Advertisers actually spend quite a lot on direct mail advertising. You are more likely to look at something you've been delivered in the mail than to by chance log onto a website you weren't going to, I think.

You should ask for a C3-PO this year to translate for you.

They still make Wish Books? I thought they stopped over a decade ago. We used to get the Sears AND the JC Penney ones every year. You can view OLD Wish Books here
WishbookWebMainPage
that have been scanned...through 1988. I love looking at those.
Thanx for the scans!
