I tried to find some form of application or something for me to join to work by sculpting faces for toy or statue companies. It feels impossible to find it. Does anyone know how to do it? I can sculpt likeness really good and I believe I can do good job. I need to get paid for doing this.

Good question. Why aren't websites like this used to recruit talent? How many of us here have expressed frustration over the strange business decisions and baffling sculpt quality of favorite characters? If the goal is to build sales, you'd think that toy manufacturers would look to a board like this as fertile ground for inspiration, direction and creativity, but nooo...

Do you have a portfolio? Probably even better if you have a social media presence.

Do you go to big conventions? Usually the sculptors go to the cons and hang out in the booths. At SDCC, they had the main Marvel Legends sculptor on Zoom for a Q&A session. Would have been a great time to ask your question.

Pretty much this. Have some sort of online gallery and presence. Do good work. Research who is attending some of the bigger shows...from my experience-if youre specifically looking for work- youre better off seeking art directors and line manager types (people who have actual hiring power) more so than sculptors (who are usually freelancers themselves but, could potentially help with a referal). Try to meet these people at shows and establish a connection and then follow up with emails, following them on social media, seeing them in person the following year with an updated portfolio, that sort of thing.
