This guy ripped me off and still shows up on the board.
We originally agreed to do a trade, which I sent photos of what I had, while supposively he did the same. I packed up all the stuff on my end and decided to send it out to get the trade rolling along. I sent the guy a pic of the receipt (with a tracking number) and asked for the same in return.
Day after day went by and I only got excuses. I tried to be patient because I know life happens, so I didn't get too upset. That was until one night, I was skimming across the net, jus looking at some pics and reviews of the very same figures I was suppose to be getting from Darkseid514. Funny thing was, I happened to run across the same exact pic of one of the figures that Darkseid514 himself sent me through an email! I then looked up pics of the other figures I was to get in the trade. Low and behold, I found all of the pics, from three different sites! He basically cut and pasted the pics!
I then contacted him and told him that I found these exact pics floating on the net. He then contacted me back, saying that his "girl" sent the figs out already and he only took the pics off the net because his camera broke!
I then told him to send me a tracking number or some proof that even sent anything. Well, he never did. So now I'm out because this jerk off is a thief!
I contacted the post and have already started a fraud case. They are actually working pretty close on this one considering mail fraud is pretty serious these days. They told me that they didn't care if it was just stupid toys. It's all the same as anything else. I can't wait til this stuff catches up to this thief.
I am just sharing this story with everybody here so they don't get burned by this loser.

Good to know, I hate when shit like that happens. I really hope that the toys do make it to you, but chances are he's just a rip-off artist and that shit does catch up on ppl.

I know I'm not gettin jack. He couldn't even supply any proof. It just sucks because I'm a very honest guy and this just makes me not to ever want to trust anybody I trade.
To think, I even sent this guy extras, jus to be a good guy. People like this just remind me that there's a lot of dirt bags just roaming around, ripping off decent people.

Unfortunately, there is very much bad people out there. Did you ask for a feedback thread? That's always a start. I hope this works out for you either way!

I am aware of the feedback section, but figured he hasn't made any trades for a while considering he has been a member here for a long while now. My stupidity I guess for not bein over cautious.

I don't know the whole story here but I have a hard time believing this part. Maybe someone told you that but the cops don't even look into hit-and-run cases unless someone is killed or seriously injured. Either someone was telling you what you want to hear or you are hoping to scare this guy by posting how someone is coming after him.

I mean no offense to either of you and I'm not saying who is right or who is wrong here because I do not know. I just hope you have realistic expectations about what may happen and the burden of proof required legally even if you were given a real name/address that they send people out to check on. Mail fraud is a felony I believe but people also get away with it all the time.

Oh, also I have filed for fraud before with success. Nothing ventured nothing gained! It's better than just giving up.

What was the guy's name and where did you send it?

This sounds suspiciously like a known scammer that loves to steal from people on at least one other board that I go to. Last time I saw him active he was posting pics of sought after figures that he lifted off of google. He also uses DC comics related usernames because he thinks he's clever...

If it is the same guy I'm thinking of, he stole $65 from me last year.

I said nothing of the sort. Basically I was just saying that I wouldn't get my hopes up because the vast majority of the time, when they do investigate, it dead ends or lacks enough evidence to make charges. Just a sad truth.
