Well to start it off I hate how Hasbro still has the bad habit of making swiveling elbows because they limit the poses you can put figures into when you display them sometimes even to where they look like they are wearing an invisible sling. The lines that commemorated any movie really showed this but I think the people in charge of the movie lines worry more about detail & not about any articulation.

Claws that aren't separate on Wolverine figures also bother me because we are in the year 2011 & the way that the claws are produced only work for the 80's & 90's. We've recently had Team X Wolverine & 1st Appearance Wolverine with not only the same claws but the swiveling elbows & tiney ball joints on the hips. I'm a guy with big hands & I can't handle wasting half an hour putting them to how I like them.

Certain paint details also are some of the weaknesses of some figures. The QC on some don't seem to be taken in consideration with certain characters. Here are some examples:

Dark Hawkeye with BLUE teeth & blue on his face
Weird paint app on Team X Wolverine makes him look like he has a jacked up tan line.
Gladiatior also has a slight case of this but its not that bad
Some Iron Man Figures with eyes that are painted 2 centimenters away from where they need to be
Some characters have their pupils & irises painted to the point of either having more than one of each eye or to the point of being really cock eyed

feel free to post any more if you have seen any

For elbows I think you mean the ball jointed ones on movie figures or "elbros" as fans have nicknamed them. I hate how they limit articulation too. The new comic pack Wolverine with Silver Samurai has the bestt claws I've seen yet. Separate, look good too.

I was just going to mention that. The next comic 2 pack wolverine has seperate claws, same with the jim lee style wolverine with the logan headsculpt he does, and some of the wolverine origins figures.. but majority are made together and merely have the illusion of being seperate. Paint aps can be bad, that's why if there's multiples on the shelf I take an extra 5-10 mins and examine them before being hasty and just grabbing 1. The elbow business I understand, sometimes the muscles are 2 big that when u contract them there's very limited in range of motion.

My biggest pet peeve is the angle-cut elbow that a lot of SW figures have (even Vintage Yoda!). I can deal with ball-jointed "kneelbows" or hinged joints, but angle-cuts destroy the sculpt AND make the figure's arms look doofy as hell unless you've got a robe covering it up.

Oh and some form of neck/head articulation should be standard on every action figure moving forward. No excuses.

...unless the figure doesn't have a head, of course.

The only figure I'm not buying- she's got a teeny tiny pinhead!
Really, it's like half the size of Kitty's! It's not a ball joint either- I think it may have been some Showdown sculpt they never released or something as it does not match the MU quality at all.

Ugh ya that head sculpt ruins an otherwise decent figure.

I'll jump on the Jean Gray bandwagon too. She's probably the shittiest MU figure I own. Just very cheap looking. I needed a Jean though, so I bought her.. it was getting to be a big sausage universe.

I assure you, her head is on a ball and will pop off. It just takes a little more force than others. I swapped her head with a resin cast of Phoenix.

really/ Hmmm...maybe. The Phionex head is certainly great, but them I'd lose one of my toughest villians from my Mob O' Villians!
Phionex, sentry and thanos are my "Big Three".

Where'd ya get the resin cast from? I bought some amazing reesin hedas from Slayer Design Studios...but I always need more! Female hedas in particular.

I got a few from Darth Onyx...he used to post here but I haven't seen him around lately. I got a regular Phoenix, an awesome angry Phoenix, two Arnolds, and a Skrull. And it only took like 3 days. I don't see how people can wait on Slayer.

Dont really find the jean grey that bad actually, I find it's all about how you pose her. Standing straight is kind of goofy looking but in the right pose she is just fine!

I really dont care for the phoenix head sculpt.. it looks like the Jeanvestite we got from the movie line.

I absolutely hate the inconsistency in articulation between the figures. You'd have to take all the articulation from every figure to actuall have a decently articulated figure. I hate how comic cap doesn't have and wrist motion.

On another note I hate Taskmasters cape. It's too loose I wish they had either glued it down or attached it with pegs or something!

I hate how they haven't redone GAMBIT =(.

Also lack of Beast. However, that is ok because his articulation will probably be crap.

Now, my BIGGEST problem I have with hasbro is as fallows:

[rage]
ACCESSORIES THAT CANNOT BE HELD BY THE FIGURE IT CAME WITH

That crappy blast every MU Iron Man fig comes with. They can't pack us some of the cooler ones that came from the Iron Man 2 line....just those crappy ones that clip to the wrists.

I wanna burn them all.

I'd say that most accessories flat out suck. There are only a few that were really cool but the rifle that everyone uses is boring and over used and those blast iron man accessories are also pretty cheesy. The spiderman webs used on almost every spiderman figure are pretty wack but the spidey backpack for the house of M spiderman is pretty damn cool.

Haha I want to open my House of M Spider-Man just for the back pack. However, I am holding off opening him [it is actually my brothers] until more House of M characters come out. If they ever come out..

Its all in the hips... I mean that's my problem with Marvel toys. The stupid movie hips that take a half hour to turn and still limit motion piss me off to no end. They started to get it right for a minute with figs like ghost rider, that is T bar into a socket that directly goes into a post swivel. Now they ALL need those instead of going backwards. I just got the Cap three pack and WHY does Captain Britain look like he has birthing hips!?!

Mary Jane is pretty small and I always feel like I'm going to break off her arm if I pose her. I wish that with the new female body sculpt, they would go back and redo her as well as the Storm that came in the 2 pack.

Hulk (Green and Gray) need a different face and better legs. They made them near impossible to get good poses. The face is horrible, the only good Hulk besides RULK, is the one that comes with Cyclops.

Arm articulation could be better. I dont like how certain figures always have their right arm extended all the way out when you try to put them to their sides. The Wolverine from the recent 2 pack has that ability. The figures that bother me the most is Captain Marvel and Iron Fist.

That terrible Jean grey figure- my local comics shop had her loose for $5 today and I just could not buy it- one hand is a flipper and the other clutched into a baby;s fist.
Even her hair sucks- i figured I could transplant it onto a Black Widow head for a unique look....but it's terrible.

I think that was a Showdown sculpt that did not make the grade or something.

I agree totally about that aawful clip in energy cone on Iron Man, Havok, etc.
Ug- I hate that thing!

I honestly turned down on the idea of picking up Havok when i saw him BECAUSE he had that damn accesory. Douchebag. I actually ot mad at the figure.

Also hate when the upper torso is packaged leaning left or right and the figure stays like that FOREVER. Much like my Warpath. Amazing figure...but he looks like hes stretching his side all the time. And its happened with my Joes too. Can't stand it.

POST OF TEH DAY!

I hate looking at the Black Spiderman figure. When I see alien bad assery, I want to see a reflection of myself. I don't see that. My thighs swivel. My body, god-like. My physique, uncanny. My vengeance? Avengeful. I am the epitome of all that is good in Marvel, and that figure, used for such BAD ASS characters whom I want to be like when I grow up including: HAVOK, Archangel, et al, USE.THAT.BODY.

Not cool. I think the Frost Giants did it for the lulz. That's why Thor went ape in the movie.
