Man, they really need to step up their game for the prices they charge on these. Him and Harley have this "fuzzy" look to the paint on their faces, I've never seen anything quite like it.

These really look about on par with Hasbro, but they're like $50. No thanks.

I think figuarts can be hit or miss with their human head sculpts. While I have no interest in it, I have seen their version of the rock and I think it looks great, this on the other hand just doesn't look all that great. I think half of that has something to do with the expressions they chose.

My only other complaint would be that I wish they included a hand specifically for covering his mouth with his tattoo like he did in the movie. The recreation in this gallery is okay, but I think it'd much better looking if there was a hand specifically for that pose. Like what they did with the MMPR green rangers hands, giving them specific ones to play his dagger.

To quote the article:

"Please note – close up shots of the faces show dot-matrix style printing artifacts. This is not visible to naked eye from normal distances, even holding in hand semi close. It’s due to the computerized printing method that’s replacing hand painting on the assembly line, and what allows for very small and detailed accents like his head tattoos possible."

In hand, Figuarts' printed heads really do look spectacular most of the time. It's just that macrophotography really picks up on the little dots and makes them noticeable in a way they really aren't in-hand.

I have the Harley and she looks great, IMO, but this looks awful.

I saw Harley in person a few weeks ago, that fuzzy dot stuff on the face is definitely noticeable to the naked eye too.
