NYCC 2020 - Marvel Select Human Torch Figure and Buffy The Vampire Slayer Statue Previews by DST

Is Diamond Select serious with those hips. I was a big Diamond Select fan, but some of there releases are just eyesores. Those hips on the Human Torch as awful. It draws the eye because how bad it looks.

I have no idea what they are doing. No one likes those hips, it looks terrible, and they still use it. What a shame as the translucent color and effects are marvelous.

I hope we get a new Thing eventually, I hate the one they keep rereleasing!

Maybe it's just the posing, but this Human Torch looks really stiff.

And their female figures/statues all look sleepy, even when they're in the middle of an action pose.

From the looks of Human Torch they have no idea how to pose their figures and Buffy would suggest they can’t even design a good pose. I’m gagging for any realistic representation of Buffy characters but this is a very disappointing start. A running, lunging thrust also just doesn’t seem particularly Buffy-esq to me. Holding the steak the other was around, standing in an A stance with an assured smirk having just dusted a vamp who thought he could pop up behind the Slayer and take her by surprise would be infinitely cooler.
