So basically, the toys won't look as good as NECA's, but they'll have fewer QC issues.

Thank God. I hated the idea of those Tamashi Nations ones being the only figures offered for the movie. Don't know how well details they can make the Jaegers but at least I know they'll go big with their Kaiju.

Diamond Select does some high quality toys too, so I'm hopeful. Unlike when Halo went from McFarlane to the Mattel crap.

Really excited for this news. Over the past year Diamond Select has quickly risen to become one of my favorite toy companies with their gotham figures. And since they're doing them in the 7in scale they should fit perfectly with NECA's releases.

Heres to hoping that there will be diorama/ effect parts for the select versions and/ or (and I'm dreaming over here) they do a build a Kaiju for some of the biggest Kaiju in the film. I'm talking like 7in scale, category 5 and greater, eat a Jaeger for breakfast, Slattern BIG!

NECA's articulation scheme and hiding articulation is better than Diamond Select, but sculpt wise while not better I think they rival NECA especially on likenesses that are not necessarily human.

I agree with you on the QC issues though. My NECA collection dwarfs what I have for Diamond Select, but I've had fewer breaks or paint locked figures per release.

I am glad that this is happening (though I’d rather have NECA continue). I was not looking forward to having to shell out $50-$60 for the Tamashii versions that will most likely be way underscale next to the NECA figures.

This is way better than having SH do the whole line. The prices on SH are getting so high lately, I'm not sure if I will collect them any longer.

Would have way rather had NECA continue the license but at least another company got it that won't bleed my wallet. I like all of the DST figures I have so far and then even the ones I like less are for reasons that shouldn't even exist on a jaeger or kaiju.

Fantastic. NECA and DIamond always give value. I am super happy with this news. Great move by Diamond.
