I'd guess around $130 like Kintaro.

Damnit, Storm’s going to pull me back into this line aren’t they? I sold all my MK figures last year and was done with this line, but man their recent offerings just look amazing.

Been waiting for storm to do some detailed stuff and for MKX. Glad they are starting with Goro. Their other stuff is nostagicly fun. But I think its too cartoony. The games where based on real people and clothing. Not cartoons.

Real people in a game that was an over-the-top parody of cheesy B movie Kung fu films. I think the cartoony anime look of Storm figures still fits. My issue with them is the cheep plastic they use. I’ve had several figures’ joints turn brittle and break in an air conditioned, stable temperature room. Unacceptable.

"Works" is often the result of settling.

Brittle plastic. Yes..But I am aware of breakages in every (interesting) toy line ever produced. But its a gamble. I also dont go pow pow with my action figures. And I have so many I can't open them all anyway. Breakages suck..but will happen no matter how careful you are.

I am in no way defending storm.. they are most times ugly overpriced garbage.. in my opinion.

They're trying to drag me back, but I ain't coming back until they finally give us Kitana and Mileena.

Actually, given they are doing MKX now how about main character Sonya Blade for once?

I see this pattern that you only like the female figures/characters. I'd love to see your collection.

Cassie would be great. I’m good with my McFarlane Kitana but I’d still take a Storm one as well. Hopefully the one they showed off last year actually comes out.

His lower Arms look so stupid with being that small.
No Purchase, sorry Storm.
I also want to see some Movie Figures from them.
Movie Liu Kang would be an Instant Purchase.
They are to slow with Releasing the Figures.

Agreed. I didn’t say anything because I thought the proportion-hawks on the Ark would notice and comment. It could be pose and angle, but the lower arms seem stubby and their decision to space the sets (of arms) and connect them to the abdomen looks unnatural even for a ‘four-armed’ being.

Isn't his lower arms always smaller than the upper ones? Look up the MK1 game model.

Don't get me wrong I see alot of things wrong with this figure..But no one..NO ONE..will be making a better one. So I will settle for it.

If you wanna get nit-picky the chest is off. The scales are off. Hands are wrong. Face is too small. Necklace is wrong....And so on and so forth.

I still pre ordered it.

There is no doubt that this thing is amazing, and to be fair, there’s no rubric for proper ‘four-armed biped’ anatomy.

I’m not someone that seeks “perfection” (whatever that may be), it’s just hard for my eyes not to be drawn to the lower arms. I even think making them slightly smaller makes sense from an aesthetic and physics sense, it’s just slightly jolting.

Maybe they overcorrected when casting them smaller; went too small.

What you are seeing is the missing forearm section, incorrectly covered by his wrist bands. This causes the arms to look shorter becuase his arm is not showing correctly. And the lower biceps are too thick. See how the game's 3d render flows and the figures does not.

I'm an OG MK player, so I've never seen Goro covered with all that jewelry and wristbands stuff. So what I remember from from MK1 was the image above. Showing his lower arms noticeably smaller.

Settling? Nah. If I wanted photorealistic MK characters I’d customize some tbleague dolls. MK has been super cartoony since the move to 3D. All the Storm figures have been based on the 3D versions. Artistically I can’t complain.

Plastic-wise, while I understand all toys, no matter the price point, can have issues and breakages, I have 15k worth of action figures on display and the only ones to have no problems when first opened but start to crumble apart a year or so later have been Storm. It’s not all of them. My Street Fighter figures have been just fine. Just all the first wave Mortal Kombat characters. I’m scared to dust my version 1 Goro for that very reason.

I was a kid when the game came out. Not all creatures age well. Creature from the Black Lagoon..before my time still Perfect IMO. Rancor from starwars, GREAT!

Goro, however..from the 1st game, awesome and mind blowing as a kid..gumby-ish/clay fighters as I got older.
