Explosions one?
The Effect Impact display "set" is actually several pieces that can be assembled in a variety of ways to create different effects. One of the pics in the news link shows it broken down into its component pieces.

These are pretty sweet. Just a little bit more than I'd want to pay for them though. (considering shipping at least.)

Like Trebelshot said, it's multiple pieces. It's a pretty clever design. You could actually display it different ways at once. I don't have any SH Figuarts figures, so I wonder how it will work with other lines, like Play Arts Kai. I just picked up the General Zod PAK and think this would look cool as hell with it.

It looks like something we could make out of clay in high school art class. PASS.

While the idea is appreciated, one thing about it is that in order to get the full aesthetics of the effect, one has to have those stands. I'm not sure about their Figuarts line but the Robot Spirits line DO NOT come with stands. The three pack of Bandai stands are about $15 each so give or take for display arts one would be spending about $30. Again, the concept isn't bad at all but the price is rather disdaining.
^I might be mistaken but it might be too small for Play Arts Kai . Again not sure though.

These are very cool, but they also aren't difficult to make one yourself now that the idea is out there. If I had more Figuarts toys besides Krillin then I would probably already be in the process of duplicating these.
Maybe once Android 18 comes out I'll either buy one of these or pull a DIY project to set up a spousal dispute display between the two. I'm sure 18 smacked Krillin through a wall or two at some point during their marriage. |

Ah, ok. That would be the Act Explosion set. The news story was about the Act Impact set, which is why I was confused. According to Tamashii, there are actually four Stage Act 6 sets: Act Impact, Act Flame, Act Explosion and Act Steps.
Tamashii Features vol. 6: Tamashii Stage effect parts - TOMOPOP Bluefin's Facebook page (the source of our news story) only showed the Impact set. Btw, both the Gray and Beige versions are available for preorder from site sponsor BBTS. Funny, I always figured Bulma and Vegeta for the abusive marriage type (with Bulma doing the same thing as you described for 18).
