I sold off all of my NECA Godzillas, because they were too small to fit in with everything else, plus the tails took up way too much space. But, with the awesome included display piece, I can display him separately. Definitely going to pick him up.

If you don’t attach the back end of the tail, it can probably be positioned to not stick out the side of the display.

Too small with what?

Anyway, is the tail still a bendy wire tail like the original had or did they change it to match the 62 one?

The tail is the same. This is a straight repaint.

I had them on a shelf next to the classic POTA figures. I've never really been a fan of any of the movies or characters or anything, so it was easy enough to part with them.

Great pictures.
I have mine pre-ordered online but I wonder -what stores carry NECA anymore. I have recently been in several Targets in Texas and Oregon and none of them had any NECA items to speak of.

Targets in my area still carry NECA but distribution between them is very spotty. Sadly since both Hastings and TRU died the only other physical stores that I've seen or heard carry NECA are Gamestops, but they're very picky about what they actually sell in store, and FYE stores which are non-existent in my area.

Why would you buy the figures in the first place if you aren't a Godzilla fan?

They were sitting at TRU for a long time taking up a whole shelf. An employee told me they didn't have room to put out new stuff, so I bought them all to clear the space. Plus, I'm an addict.

It took the Targets in the Dallas area a few weeks to get the NECA area staged, but once they did it was pretty impressive. They had a pretty good representation of what NECA offered but mostly I was impressed by the fact Target appeared to do something with NECA products that TRU never did: they restocked!

As the months went by the amount displayed diminished and now every NECA display in Dallas Targets is mostly barren except for some McFarlane products and Funko -no NECA to be seen anywhere.

I was in Oregon last week and I was hoping to pick up a NECA Godzilla 2019. However all I saw in four Target stores in Oregon was the same thing I experienced in Dallas.

So if Target officially hasn't stopped carrying NECA then maybe the problem with restocking wasn't TRU but it was NECA.
I don't know though, TRU had a problem stocking everything.

As I mentioned above it was my experience that TRU never restocked.
If they did restock then the hot items were quickly gone and there would be a few of the less desirable items left as evidence that a case was actually put out for sale.
As far as Godzilla figures go Shin Godzilla and the Atomic Breath GMK Godzilla seemed to sit for a while but the rest were always quickly gone.
At any rate the typical NECA display at TRU was mostly empty pegs.

But you're saying that your TRU had so many Godzilla items they didn't have room to stock the other NECA items, so you bought them all even though you're not a Godzilla fan so there would be room at TRU, however you then got rid of them because they were...
Taking up too much room.
Do I understand the situation?

Yep, you pretty much got it. Though, the scale issue was as much a problem as the space.

And, oh yeah, POTA is Planet of the Apes.

So far I've only seen one 2019 Godzilla in store and sadly when I was home and opening him it turned out both of his hands were lefties. I'm currently in talks with CS about it.

Here's a good video review.
It doesn't have the perfect lighting and composition of Joe's photos and the figure still looks great.

Dang. Hope it works out.
I've heard a lot about NECA quality control issues but I've been very lucky.

Smasher, that's because Heisenberg isn't a photographer, but just a reviewer.

Well the way NECA made it sound on Twitter was that they were going to be retooling the tail to be a fully segmented tail and not just the bendy wire one.

I know.
I didn't mean to be critical, I was just pointing out how good the figure looked even without Joe's photographical magic.
