Great shoot. That Kong is pretty tight. The sculpting came out great, specifically the yell face. I

I wonder how they'd reconcile size differences with him and Godzilla in the new movieverse tho.

They never really did in the old movie they just kind of were there, I grew up watching that on vhs all the time.

I do like how Kong looks scary like a hell beast not just doofy looking.

Needs a boulder accessory ha.

You know this could be a great stand in for a cool super-poseable Gorilla Grodd.

I feel like the NECA DotPotA Luca is a tad better looking for a non-specific gorilla and would be better suited for for a non-King Kong gorilla. Also looks to be a bit bigger than this figure. If you're looking for a Gorilla Grodd type filler.
Also, I never got the Godzilla vs King Kong deal. King Kong gets taken out by biplanes, even if he was multiplied in size by a great deal (almost 18 times to meet Godzilla 2014's size) he would lose pretty bad still. Godzilla is a lizard god (it's in his name) with super powers, atomic fire-laser breath, nearly invulnerable scaling, advanced healing, and higher thought process. King Kong is at the end o' the day still just a big gorilla. Not trashing King Kong as a character/film (both are great concepts which saw improvement over time), but the notion that King Kong could ever take on Godzilla was always a weird idea to me.
Back on topic: good looking representation of this version of the gorilla, with nice customizable looks.

Painted green, it could be a cool Beast Boy transformation. I'm looking at MOTU Battlecats for the same purpose, but they are quite expensive....

In the movie they did give King Kong the lightning super power to make him a little more threatening, oh and rocks ha.

I'm assuming the idea came from the first Godzilla movie where Godzilla was supposed to be afraid of Electricity.

He technically died fro the fall though not the biplanes didn't he?

Godzilla wasn't really afraid of electricity, that was just them testing out ideas to stop him. Valid point, the fall is what did the ape in. As I said though it's a silly pitch for a fight, like a capuchin monkey taking on a crocodile who has atomic breath and super powers.
