So he's hovering over a crash site and shooting fire retardant out of his feet?

Interesting design. I'd like to see one up close.

Nice luster on that paint application. I hope that paint app makes its way to the Marvel Legends line for armored characters. I'm not keen on those narrow shoulders nor the look of the hips of the figure. Other than that, it's pretty clean looking. I'd like to see it articulated with dynamic posing. The vanilla package pose isn't exactly flattering...

I knew I'd seen something like this before, only fancier:

Sentinel Bleeding Edge Armor Iron Man, War Machine and More (July 2014, for release Nov 2014)

US$200 seems a stretch, but if they make the eyes and chest light up, I could go for the 'modern' / 'Extremis' version. Rgds

Seems like this figure will have double jointed elbows but unfortunately no torso articulation. I'll have to pick this guy up.

This is easily my favorite modern armor. I want to like this figure, but the shoulders and hips look bad. The paint looks awesome, but also like something that would rub off easily. I'll have to pass.

For a chuckle, go to your favourite online auction site or search engine and look up "Iron Man Cycle tights." Rgds

Nice shots! The lake setting really adds context to the water under his feet, and it's clever the way you angled the sunlight to make it glint off the arc reactor. I'm impressed. This seems like quite a nice figure. Rgds

Ehhh, Marvel Select is pretty iffy when they make Iron Man figures.their modern armor IM was pretty terrible, and this one's proportions are just... yuck. If I liked this IM suit, which I don't, I'd rather get the ML version.

I think you nailed it with your use of the word 'suit.' This doesn't look like a suit of armor as much as a shiny red-and-yellow unitard, with bits that light up Tron-style. (On that note, it's funny that we haven't seen more upscale Tron figures, but maybe they're in the works.) Anyway, this is a unique look for Iron Man, and seems quite popular among some collectors.

Man I wish I could get a 1/6th version of this armor. Hopefully Sideshow will get to a lot of Iron man armors, but damn I wish HT made comic figures. They would be so top notch.

Agreed about iffy. I do worry as I see no waist joint...
