Remember the Star Wars Evolutions packs from years ago that had multiple versions of one character throughout their history? Like Episode II and III Anakin, with Darth Vader, and tons of accessories? Or the split up into multiple single carded Obi-wans?

Wouldn't something like that be awesome for Marvel Universe? I can see the pre-requisite Iron Man, Spider-man, and Wolverine packs, but it would be a great way to get multiple versions of a character in one fell swoop. Imagine Rogue's three most iconic costumes, or all three evolutions of Beast in one pack? Or a Cable set that had original Cable, his techno organic virus going out of control, and Nate Grey? Or Marvel Girl, Phoenix, and Rachael Summers? (yeah, that's cheating) Original, Rocky, and modern Thing?

Or, like how they eventually expanded it to include the Boba Fett, Jango Fett, and Mandalore set, you could have a set with three Heralds of Galactus. Or original Android Human Torch, Johnny Storm torch, and Nova. Or all three Ant Mans?

It would be a great way later down the line to fill in characters who didn't have the benefit of being made multiple times during the last three years. (Cyclops, Cap, Hulk) What do you guys think?

I think your idea is great, for a different company. From what I can tell Hasbro has finally picked up the pace on releasing different body molds and adding more articulation. Everything would be a repack, and as you said there will be tons and tons of Iron Men, Spideys and Wolverines. As a collectors display as an item you wouldn't open up and just have sitting there would be ok, but all in all, I would vote no ONLY because of Hasbro. [Ps, those Star Wars Packs where flipping awsome, brother got the jango fett legacy and it was so cool]

Correct me if I'm wrong but....Hasbro produces the current SW line....

AND much like MU, you could probably find a Luke, Darth V, Jango/Bobba Fett, Han Solo almost anywhere and if you are an avid collector you probably also have lots of them due to reuses.

So....I'm gonna play devils advocate with your logic and say that, if the SW pack was good then by the same token......so would any MU ones?

What I was trying to get at was at the time I didn't have a good Jango, or a Boba, or mandolore. IF Hasbro was to do this, they would really have to toss in a whole new character for it to work. I just can't see 3 Captain americas, Spider-Men, Wolverines, and have it catigorized as a must have. But I do see my flaw in my logic.

I think a First Appearance Hulk, Any other Hulk and a slightly bigger and meaner looking Savage hulk would make a sweet evolutions pack.

All in all, I just find Hasbro to be lazy.

First Class Cyclops, 1990s Cyclops, Astonishing Cyclops
Cyclops, Jean Grey, Cable
First Class Beast, ape beast, cat beast
Loki, Female Loki, Kid Loki

Hasbro has pretty much produced EVERY Star Wars 4inch line except the original Kenner figures in the 80's and the first two waves in 1995. And since they bought Kenner out, it was the same people working on it going forward.

That was how I came to this idea. Hell, it's what made me take notice of this line. The idea of 4 inch Marvel figures made with the same tactics as Star Wars. You can clearly see Hasbro's production tactics in the Marvel Universe line. An assortment of major, b-list, and the occasional obscure character, the reusing of molds to put out cheap obscure figures(take a look at several G.I. Joe figures sometime, they reuse molds like crazy), and the tendency towards "play models". AKA, the comic packs putting two characters together and telling kids how they start fighting.

The way Mr Abbadon said would work. I'd be alllllll over that Hulk set. Speaking of Adam Warlock, anyone have any info on what costume he will be in in the comic pack?

A good idea but, if they're repacks with only one or two new figs it would be a pure money grab on Hasbro's part.

I would be happy with that. As much as a good idea it is, Hasbro would just make it easy repacks.

I like this idea a lot. I think it would work. Granted, there will be A LOT of releases and repacks, but that's the trade off. Also, not everyone will have all those versions of characters that came from early waves (most of us on here will though). But it's a good way to put out versions of characters that might not otherwise get made.

I dunno about this. Star Wars had a huuuuuge amount of backstory and related characters/concepts and thousands of years in-continuity. This made the Sith, Mandalorian, and Jedi evolution packs worth it because they weren't all the same character, which is what I can think most of the Marvel things would be. Otherwise it's just three-packs.

But I can still think of a few:
Human Torch: 40's android version, FF flame on version, plain Johnny Storm.
Magneto: Young version (either a plain clothes one when he and X were still buddies, or just a first appearance one), Modern one with removeable helmet, and Ultimate.
Jean Grey: Original Marvel Girl, Green color Phoenix, and New X-Men outfit
Ghost Rider: 70's Johnny Blaze stunt outfit, Danny Ketch biker outfit (possible blue flame modern variant), and Mike Badilino Vengeance

Sabertooth: First appearance, 90's version (from two-pack) , headless corpse.
Human Torch: FF first app, FF flame on version, Johnny Storm's corpse.

Yep, I can do this alllll night.

Jean Grey, Bucky- you name it.

Maybe a "Famous Death Scene" wave- Buckycap, Cap, Jean, Johnny Storm, Magneto, Sabertooth, Wolverine (Days of Futures Past version), Hawkeye (on fire)...
