Female Thor!
She was done long before Marvel announced their new female Thor, I just never got around to paint her until now.
The idea for the design was to end up with something that would be a mix of the movie Thor costume and Comic Thor. In the end, there's a lot more movie Thor in her with some Comic Thor accents.
The cape pegs into her back and can be removed.

Like all my figures, she was 3D printed, but this time at 7.36 inches so she'd be as tall as her Marvel Select counterpart. I don't know if the issue was scaling paired with the printing inaccuracy when you scale things up, but the hands pegs came out sorta loose and I had to glue them in place. The rest was fine.

I tried a few new paints on her. Got tired of the bad coverage of some of the cheap acrylic metallics and purchased some citadel paints for the hammer, gold and skin, too. The quality turned out to be worth the price.

Hammer was 3D printed too.

Wow. That is VERY good. My only concern is that she might get a chill this winter.

I'd say she has some very nice accents. <g>

Seriously, that is well done, especially the helmet and hair. It would be so easy for the design to turn out badly in execution, but you pulled it off.

Sincere compliments. Rgds

Pretty cool! Did you use Shapeways for the print? Also, I know customs have their own section here, but I'm surprised someone hasn't started an on going thread...

Oh wow....I'm sorry, I just re-read your name and realized you were the same designer whose work I saw featured in an article on another action-figure site (I'd mention the name but I think that's against the rules here). I was under the impression that someone had ordered this kit, assembled it, and posted it...sorry again.

Your stuff is pretty awesome! When I checked out your store, it immediately brought to mind the idea of building out a host of valkyries. Especially considering that what I saw there was far better than the actual "Legends Valkyrie" we got a few years back.

What I meant by "on-going thread" was something akin to the New Marvel Legends 6" or DCUC 6" threads. I see many customs show up on those threads and it just struck me as odd that no one had started a 6" custom thread. I see the logic in offering professionals like yourself an entire section, but sometimes it feels almost as if your works of art are sequestered away from the larger community. Just an opinion....

Keep up the inspiring work!

No worries.

Valkyrie was actually high on my to-do list, she's a cool character with not much exposure. I even have her sword already on shapeways... but the new skeleton base I'm doing has put almost everything else on hold for now, until that's done. I'm sure I'll get to her eventually.

As for the thread, if there's a better way or place in these forums for this stuff then I'm all for it. I just figured the custom gallery is where they'd want this things posted.
