Damn, now I have a question. Since FF is one of the only Marvel books I don't invest time into reading. What's the deal with Johnny Storm? Is he back from the dead now too and is he part of future foundation?

"You from Ontario? I do a lot of hunting at the Mills. And if you got saw those at the TRU in Ontario that's amazing. That is hands down the worst establishment in America when it comes to "new" or "exclusive"."
Well, no, I'm from Alhambra, but work in Ontario. Pass it on my way out there and do hunting out that way. I haven't met many other hunters and I'm new to the MU stuff so if you run across any sweet spots, let me know. As for being scalped (the other post), I'm guessing not as I found it again at Puente Hills TRU along with the Spidey/Doom FF TRU Exclusive (which I picked up). Also, went by a collectible show out that way today and they had all the new 2 packs there (though all way over-priced already). Juggernaut/Colossus, Iron Man/Mandarin, etc. Allwere over-priced of course between 25-35 bucks. My buddy says the TRU in Bell Gardens gets their shipment Wednesday for them. |

So guys, what's up with the inverted colors on FF Spidey? Was there an issue where he had that color scheme?

Please dude. Don't presume to think it ain't bad just because you managed to find stuff. That's like telling me the cartel problem isn't really all that bad in Mexico because you went there on vacation and didn't get your head chopped off. News flash, people still get there heads chopped off in Mexico and collectors still lose to scalpers in LA and much of So Cal for that matter.

Really, 2 years? How long ago was that? Because shit is getting ridiculous now. Symbiote and I might have stumbled upon this great find the other day, but I can tell you that when ML first dropped TRU was packed with 10-15 dudes ready to make a bee line to the boys section as soon as the doors opened. Each one asking if they could buy my Ghost Rider for $30. You telling me he wasn't gonna scalp that afterward for more that's why he was willing to pay double?

We have a local store up here called ToyOnFire. They have good inventory usually but prices are crazy high, which is why I can't believe they are still in business. It's very obvious that they clear out the Wal-Mart, Loblaws, and Winners that are in the same shopping center anytime something good comes in. I have been to Wal-Mart many a time and seen a rare figure like Juggernaut disappear when I go back a day or two later and then appear on their pegs (clearly not as part of a new case). What is most annoying when they clear out the Winners (like Marshalls up here) because that is all discount stuff that usually didn't sell elsewhere. They buy it up just to have it sit on their shelves at high prices. All this does is rob others of the chance to buy stuff at discount. A bunch of Star Wars vehicles showed up at Winners for $16 only to disappear a few days later and show up at ToysOnFire marked at $40 a piece. A lot of these didn't even sell well at $25-$30 elsewhere so what is the logic? If I ran a toy store wouldn't I be trying to move inventory and make money? Just doesn't seem like great business sense but then again a lot of toy store and comic store owners sadly don't have great business sense.

That place should go out of business.

Guys, can someone hook me up with a Spidey/Doom pack? Shipment would be to Miami and any help will be eternally appreciated.
B.T.W. anyone thinks these will be released online at TRU? |

Instead of telling us how easy it is to find these things maybe you should be more helpful by offering Arkers who can't find these toys to hook them up at retail price when you get your hands on the next sought after wave? I'm being melodramatic, but you're being insensitive to fellow collectors...about toys ![]() I mean C'mon the purpose of this community has been to inform other collectors of the newest waves and when they hit retail and people helping other Arkers out, and then show it all off with cool pics after. Not add insult to injury by saying "well i found em, sucks to be you" which is to the effect of what you were doing.

And he was agreeing with you about the being melodramatic. I don't mind being melodramatic to make a point, no matter how silly it is. My point is you're telling others that scalpers aren't as bad out here just because you seem to fare better than others. Some of us are living the opposite and end up paying more money online or from a vendor as a last resort because we definitely want the figures. I think its a justifiable complaint considering Hasbro has apologized for the poor distribution this past year.

Fair enough. Speaking of which...how are your pegs looking for the Fall of Cybertron figures right now? Are you seeing any shock waves in your area? I know they've released them out here but all I keep seeing are Optimus Primes.

I am waiting on the Combaticons. I want to check them out in hand first before deciding if I want them. A few people around here have them but I haven't spotted them yet. I may pick up that Shockwave but again, I have to see it first. |
